Has there been any formal confirmation he has now signed his contract?

Stupid question, but does that mean he's actually signed a new deal? Doesn't sound convincing to be honest.

I assume being deliberately vague until the contract is signed.

In his Chad FB Vlog John Lomas said he's re-signed.

I don't think Mellis will be here next season.

If Lomas has said he has re-signed, then maybe there are further quotes which we have not heard.

Probably an advert in the middle of the article which is covering some of it

Yes h'es a registered player with the club... he doesn't need to sign a new contract because this is an option from his previous contract.

Yep. Good to have him signed up. Certainly capable of unlocking the door.

I think Grant arriving last season upset at least one player in the team......

Evans claimed he couldn't play 2 games in a row, or words to that effect.

Kinda think i see where they're coming from.

Prior to Grant's arrival, the 1st team was fairly well settled and established, if lacking in a few key areas. Grant was added and (imo) surplus to requirement, for the sort of player he was (as in, i think he was similar ilk to some of our existing squad). I think it might potentially have upset a few players how he was dropped straight into the squad and persisted with, despite being unable to replicate his magic each game. Why he was unable to is a different discussion altogether...

Of course, that's only my humble and unsubstantiated opinion, and so completely liable for prosecution and maximum sentencing! :P
