Scunthorpe last away game could be another MK Dons scenario but with a chance to redeem ourselves against Crawley.

Usually the promoted team gets coverage early on.

How many times were Macclesfield on TV last season?

It's a bit of a joke isn't it? It's not like Salford need the money...

Salford will breeze it through the leagues, it will be interesting to see how many dubious & 50-50 decisions go their way...

Well it did not take Salford City long to get straight on to Sky Sports for a live game. Could be a crucial game against Stevenage at home.

But we'd have created a stink on here as it's a 12.30 KO

Very happy with the fixtures, Salford away being a Tuesday isn’t great but could have been worse.

I can’t make the opening game so delighted to see it be Newport away!

Police have probably had their say... they wouldn't want us lot running around Manchester city centre on a Saturday...

No, in time I may feel as though I'd like a trip to Notts or the sheep dip, but for now it's much more fun watching them suffer. Another 5-6 years of pure hell for them both please.

Tough first 10 games. Can see the managers job in jeopardy by the middle of October. Will the owners put up with a bad start?

I think we've got a pretty good start to be honest. Only Scunthorpe of the bookies main contenders in the first ten, and even that is a good way in.

I prefer long away trips at the start or end of the season when the weather is better for weekend trips away. Had a lovely camping trip years ago to Morecambe which I continued on to Scotland. Anyway we play better against promotion contenders than those at the bottom, or at least we did. Who knows.

In my opinion that's a tough start in August.

Keep the faith if points don't flow easily and we have a slow start, folks

I posted the above on 20th June...

For all the doom and gloom, on paper August's fixtures were in the main always a tough start whether for a rookie or not.

Agreed the nature of performances might not be what we were expecting though and the discipline is a cause for concern.

The away fixtures are tough but the homes games should be gimmes, 7 points minimum from those.

2 points from those 3 home games is shocking. You cannot cover that up.

Those away games are tough, but the home games look straightforward. I would have expected 10 points from the first 6 games. 1 point per game is shocking with our budget.

Budgets mean nothing if the big budget players aren't available through suspension or injury.
