Eggy's final player ratings

Postby part time pete » Sun May 19, 2019 3:45 pm

After 56 games there is no surprise in who got the two best average score when starting games and also four defenders scored better than the attacking midfielders and forwards.

There were eight players who started at least 40 of the 56 games and their scores when starting games were

7.18 Bishop (47 starts) - missed 5 cup ties, 2 suspended, 1 injured, 1 not selected to start after Accrington game.
7.16 Pearce (54) - missed 2 cup ties
6.93 Sweeney (45) - missed 2 cup ties, 3 suspended, 2 injured, 4 not selected to start
6.92 Benning (51) - missed 1 cup tie, 4 not selected to start
6.89 Preston (43) - missed 9 injured, 2 cup ties, 1 suspended, 1 not selected to start
6.86 Mellis (40) - missed 3 cup ties, 3 suspended and 10 not selected to start
6.78 Walker (49) - missed 4 cup ties, 2 suspended and 1 not selected to start
6.78 Hamilton (52) - missed 4 cup ties

Thanks for calculating the averages Pete, I don't know about anyone else but I'd love to see a slightly longer list, maybe players who started at least 20 games... ;)

Be interesting to see the 'love in' players Macca & Rose and the one everyone (well not everyone) loves to slate, Conrad.

I might even do a bit of work on the GK's averages tonight.

What are the stats for League games only including play offs?

I forgot to vote for the last game. My vote could have pushed Krystian Pearce (my player of the season) above Neal Bishop!

League games only plus play offs

7.17 Bishop
7.16 Pearce
6.93 Preston
6.92 Sweeney
6.91 Benning
6.88 Mellis
6.78 Walker
6.70 Hamilton

looks like Hamilton plays well in cup games and Preston plays not so well in cup games
