John Terry also there, was he scouting CJ as I'm sure villa have been linked with him before

If I remember right, JD is a Liverpool fan. His dad was from the same place in Scotland as Bill Shankly and so they followed them. When we played Liverpool, several papers did features on Dempster supporting them.i don't remember whether Gerrard was on the bench for that game or didn't travel, but this may have been the first time they've met.

Gerrard wasn’t in the squad that day.

Would absolutely love us to arrange a friendly next season at Ibrox. I notice Oxford are playing up there this season.

Makes me smile every time I think of their arrival in Malta.
