Weird we haven't actually heard from Dempster yet, assume they must be working on an interview as we speak. All seems a bit impromptu.

Good luck Demps - lets get back to what we were doing during the first half of the season!

It will be interesting to see who he promotes with him - Cooper to be assistant manager again?

As long as he doesn't say 'million percent' & sound like he's smoking a spliff he'll have my support.

I'm actually really glad we have gone for Dempster it's not like he quit playing yesterday and has come straight in. He has been learning his job and doing it within our club.

Why should we keep regurgitating through the same pool of managers who have all failed at some all the other supposition on budgets and ulterior motives is just that.

He was an intelligent footballer and is clearly a good coach hopefully he can bring that forward to the first team.

Who is going to help John Dempster with recruitment as I'm guessing he's only watched home games this season?

Great appointment. Lets bring in the youth who have desire for the club along with a few new players who can help develop them. We have relied too long on old pros and loanees who do not have the desire, let the kids have their chance when they deserve it and prove that our academy is as good as it is. You can win with kids as Manure FC proved (slightly different circumstances) but give them a chance and the league will be totally shocked by their attitude and skill. They can transform us into a title winning team, if not next year but the year after. COYS

Yes agree with above post. Give the youth a chance, something we haven't done for years.
I'll support Dempster 100%. Wasn't going to renew season ticket but will do now

Echo that. JD has been with the club a long time now. Hopefully JR will back him and this isnt the start of the end.

Good luck

Good luck JD.

Hopefully if he can retain players like Olejnik, White, Pearce and Benning then with Bish, Macca and Khan already under Contract we have some good foundations to start from.

Hopefully an expirenced assistant alongside him.

Has anyone been to see the youth team over the last season? Trying to work out what style of Manager/Football he will be/play?

The youth team play exactly like the first team, three at the back

Like I said earlier, after being stung by two ‘experienced’ managers being given big budgets and ultimately failing it makes complete sense why JR would go to somebody who was a brilliant player for the club and has done a brilliant job with the Youth team.

Yes it’s a big difference to his new role but you have to take chances in this game, I know the majority of fans will get fully behind him.

Totally agree Conker, it all depends on how the 'experienced' players react to JD being appointed, if they don't like him then get rid. We only want players who want to play for us no matter who the manager is. They should remain professional and loyal at all times but time will tell and we will see who is here for the club or for their own gains.
