If BW goes into administration and fails to find a buyer or is relegated further for failing to play all their games, how do they maintain 24 teams in league one.

Does Plymouth Argyle avoid relegation or do five teams come up from league two? :?

usually they run a season at 23 teams and therefore lose a relegation spot. So they have 3 relegation spots. Providing this happens after the play offs have concluded. If it happens before the play offs finish then the highest placed relegated team is saved from relegation.

I believe that if they go completely out of business then a relegation is saved all the way down the pyramid ( before play offs) or all leagues below will run with 1 less relegation spot next season (after play offs)

I could be wrong

So could Clownty be hoping for Bolton to go pop and save their worthless hide?

Entering administration so means starting next season with a 12 point deduction

League One would operate with 23 teams. Hard luck Clownty.

And Bolton may also incur an extra points deduction for not fulfilling all their fixtures on top of the 12 point administrative penalty

You'd imagine Bolton going down to Lge 2 after next season then. Loooooooun had a 30 point deduction when they went down to the Conf what was their misdemeanour?
