Newport Tickets

Postby Jamie » Mon May 06, 2019 9:13 am

Surprised the club hasn't released any information about tickets yet. Certainly the home ones for next Sunday.

We knew when we would be playing if we failed to get up, surely they've at least considered this?

Including Saturday if they open, there are only 5 days to buy tickets. I assume ST holders will also get priority on their seats like cup games but if they don't announce anything today it could be ST holders for the remainder of Tues then Weds with general sale starting Thurday? That only leaves 2/3 days.

I would argue theres more of an issue with thursdays away tickets - if on sale from tomorrow only two days of sale and presumably the need for season ticket priority too. Also those who live away from Mansfield- how do they get tickets in time unless they take them to newport with team or allow print at home

True that is more of an issue, but also out of our control as a club. We can't do or sell anything until they send details / tickets to us.

Why dont they just not make it an all ticket match for home fans ,save all the fannying about ,holding 10%back etc ,would give us a chance to fill it

I’m not sure whether there will be big interest in tickets for the away leg? I’d be surprised if there’s 400 there.

Depending on the result I doubt either club will sell out their away allocation. We certainly won't.

Do the QLE membership holders still get the discount for the home leg?

Newports' ticket office is selling tickets tommorow as per this on their website...

https://www.newport-county.co.uk/news/2 ... cket-info/

It seems we are awaiting ticket details for Thursday from Newport. Would imagine tickets would be available online for us by tomorrow night.

Think Newport will be wanting to keep our allocation small as they'll fill the ground anyway. But a small away following will do wonders for our team's morale, as when they're backed by more than 3-4 folk they crap thier pants.

These are the rules for EFL Play off ticket allocations:

4 Tickets

4.1 Where a Home Club admits any person to the ground as part of its hospitality arrangements or to an executive box and there is no separate charge for admission, each person is treated as having bought a ticket at the highest price payable for a ticket for that match. 4.2 A maximum of 250 complimentary tickets, excluding those covered under Rule 3.4, and any tickets required to be made available under any commercial agreement entered into by The League, may be issued. Any tickets in excess of this number must be accounted for at the appropriate rate.

4.3 The Visiting Club shall have the right to claim 2,000 tickets for use by its supporters (or such number as represents 10% of all tickets reserved or otherwise sold in advance, if less than 2,000). The following conditions shall apply:

4.3.1 unless otherwise mutually agreed in writing, all tickets shall be on sale or return basis;

4.3.2 payments for tickets sold by a Visiting Club together with details of tickets sold and the return of unsold tickets, must be made to the Home Club within four days of the date of the match; and

4.3.3 a minimum of 10% of the total disabled spectator accommodation must be made available to disabled supporters of the Visiting Club.

4.4 A Visiting Club shall also be entitled to one third of the seats usually reserved and known as the ‘Home and Visiting Directors' Seats’, up to a maximum of 24 seats.

4.5 The Home Club may not reduce normal League admission charges without the written agreement of the Away Club. Any disagreement between the Clubs shall be determined by The League. 4.6 For the purposes of Rule 3.5, ‘reduce’ shall also include seeking to make Play Off Match tickets available to season ticket holders, members of membership clubs or other similar schemes at the same discount that would apply to them for normal League Matches when compared with the Club’s published normal League Match admission charges.

4.7 The provisions of Regulation 34.2.4 to 34.2.11 (inclusive) shall apply so as to ensure that away supporters are not charged more than home supporters except where permitted by those Regulations.

4.8 For the avoidance of doubt, Regulation 34.2.3 (5% commission on away ticket sales) shall not apply

Hopefully, they are on sale before 12 pm today so can pop down on my break.

I vowed never to go to Newport again, because ya'know its an absolute hole with hostile fans, but I'll make an exception Thursday.

On line it gives you two options to buy tickets for the away game n home game when you click on the home game tab it brings up to purchase tickets for the away game......

Be careful when purchasing tickets you may be buying for the away match.

I noticed that. It was quite odd. It also said for the away, both sections A and B were seating. Just gonna pop to the club instead of risking it
