The playoffs are the best way to go up.

We need to get a result Thursday, then I might believe. Unfortunately falling short is what we deserve after recent form and Newport’s form is the complete opposite

Looking on the bright side, only a few fans will make the effort on Thursday night so the players might not be as nervous. On the other hand, we don't stand a chance in the final, so it won't matter too much what happens.

No. What this set of players will do, is roll over and die, and then blame it on anything but themselves. Other than the captain , these players haven'tgot a shred of fight in them. The chairman and fans deserve better than this selfish shower.

We aren't down and out yet, be smug when we are.
Might not be long, I agree.
Notts County have done you no favours in your attempt to return next season, you'd have been better with Macc. County potentially have new owners with big ambitions. There's Salford or Eastleigh or Fylde plus others like Wrexham. I don't need to tell ya, you know. Money doesn't bag promotion, as we know, but you're not a shoe-in next season. Plus mad Uncle Dave wants his millions back and might sack Shez if you're not top come October.
Suppose you can open the away end for Counteh at Christmas though

Ahh "thinking back"....that's all you have to celebrate along with the present failures of our lot....because your future is so bleak you'll be Non-League for a good while longer yet.

I would much rather Fylde be promoted to league 2. That would mean Salford still playing in "the pit of misery". They will throw mega bucks at it next year and your lot will have yet another season in non league.

Four Hundred and Sixty-Two pounds...
That's how much you will be charged to watch you getting schooled by plumbers and builders over 23 games next season.
Let that sink in.
Then see if you still want to laugh at us in League 2 at the very worst.

It is good to be involved in the playoffs in the FOOTBALL LEAGUE. This is something you can only aspire to and may never achieve for many years, if ever. Thanks for coming and please keep following and looking up at your betters as you bumble around in non league obscurity.

Fully agree the play offs are a waste we will just heap more misery and drag out the inevitable league 2 trips back to Morecombe and Crawley not even got a decent local derby to look forward to
JR and CR deserve much better
I don’t think Flitcroft is going to take us forward

Have you booked your weekend at Torquay yet?
Should be entertaining and you may even find the odd stray ewe on the way down, a kind of service station for the lonely. You won't trouble the top spot next year and probably not the play offs. Parachute payments didn't do you any good this year and you won't sell half the season tickets next year. Never mind you may get a decent pay day if you manage to draw Alfreton in the FA Trophy.
Hello! Hello! We are the North Stand Boys.

Searchanddestroy must be the most contradictory user name for someone who should be named hideandtype.
Typical spireshite really.
Comes on here with his rod trying to catch a bite.
Trouble is, like Mr Grimsdale states, you probably had your hand wrapped around your rod. Well so now your five minutes of fun is over, you can open your curtains and look out at your bleak landscape your non league football team finds itself in.
Now run along dear...your lot usually do.
Why do the two football teams I support always let me down.

All you have to laugh at is our failure to achieve automatic promotion? I don’t remember laughing when you were above us & we were in that sorry hole.
As for 1995, it was indeed a shocking refereeing display at Salergate that helped you on your way, funny how you all forget about that. Also funny how, when you lost to Middlesbrough you feel hard done by the over the line goal that wasn’t... whilst it was a clear dive to win you a penalty in that game, thei ncorrect decision at the other end sort of evened that out... no spireite ever remembers that either.
You’ll be telling us that no Derbyshire miners kept on working during the miners strike next.
I backed my car into a cop car the other day, he just drove off, sometimes life's okay...

Is the chap who can't manage to step over a row of seats a poster on here?

Better than running on and attacking players or have you forgotten, scrubbers
