I've always rated Brown since I saw him pull us to bits at Mardy Lane whilst on loan at County, in some midweek cup match or other. I'm sure there is an excellent player in there and am surprised he hasn't gone higher quicker. Is it with view to a permanent move in the summer?

I remember that too, but though I'd imagined it for a minuted looking through for Martins reports and seeing no mention of Brown in the line-ups! But looks like he listed Curtis Thompson twice rather than Brown. 2nd September 2014.

No mention of a future perm.

I've mentioned Brown a few times in the report. An error in the line-up though which I'll amend later.

Agreed , he is exactly what we are missing. An all round midfielder who dictates the tempo of games from the middle of the park. Great passer , good engine and loves a tackle.

Yes save t'cash for the Summer window. Season's long been over for us. Getting safe and to a respectable finish is our aim. We are far too fragile and inconsistent for owt else.

We shouldn’t be splashing the cash in this window at all. Just a few additions in key areas will do. Save JRs money for the summer. Why spend lots on a dead rubber!!!

GC needs to fully assess the squad over a decent period of time.

Most stags fans need to hang their head, yeh we aren’t doing well, but I want players in that will play for the club now, it’s not over in this tight division until it’s mathematically impossible. If JR is happy to splash the cash because he has the ambition most stags fans don’t, let him.

We only have a maximum of 60 points to play for and probably need at least 45 to scrape into the playoffs. It's over.
