CJ can do far better than Lincoln and I actually think it would be a step backwards for the lad. I also don't think they can afford him as they were complaining about budgets last month. Unless of course Cowley is holding back a big wedge to sign him even if it would be a waste for CJ himself
Lincoln have got no money apparently, spent it all on Jason shackell... 2nd highest earning player in the league last year.

they couldn’t get anywhere near what we would want for CJ not a chance

Seems Nathan Thomas is homesick again. He's signed for Carlisle once again.

Lincoln spent a absolute fortune getting promoted from L2, so did we to be fair and we didn’t even get promoted!

Quite right. Anyone who has a go at Lincoln for 'buying the league' etc. is a hypocrite when we're trying to do exactly the same.

Yes and they stuck with their manager who narrowly missed out on promotion the previous season.
Just saying, like.

The same management team that had proved themselves by winning probably the hardest league there is to escape.

Matt Rhead signed for Billericay. Obviously paying him a fortune, I imagine there’d have been plenty of league 2 clubs that would have had him in their squad.

Matt did indeed sign until the end of 2019/20 as recently as April. Undisclosed fee and I'm surprised Lincoln let him go as he must be one of the best back up strikers around. Brilliant option when things get rough and a proper wind up merchant.
I would have welcomed him back.
Good luck Matt.

Are the Cowleys now going to make a move for Tyler Walker so he can play with his mate Gorgeous Jorge?

Northampton have signed Scott Wharton on a season long loan from Blackburn. He did a very good job at Lincoln. Another very good signing by the Cobblers. They are clearly going for it this season but it might take a while for all the new players to gel into a winning side.
