But neither of them have had publicised offers from L1, so that is pure speculation.

When we signed Cook Dempster said their was League One clubs interested in him. Not sure about Maynard, but pretty sure that they would be, with his record over past couple of seasons.

Interest not the same as offer.

You don’t say lol. All I said was they could easily play in League One.

You said the same could be said for our players. It was only the same for our players if they turned down offers from L1 to play in L2.

If you look back I said both Cook and Maynard could play at League One level. Besides how do you know if they haven’t had offers from other clubs ? As fans we can only speculate. Jesus

Barnsley apparently wanted him for free with add ons and a sell on fee.
We turned it down.

There's renewed interest.

He’s joined them. And I know that for a fact.

Yep he posted a picture of himself on his instagram story after training today wearing a Barnsley shirt.

On his Mums FB that he’s passed medical at Barnsley and now officially signed for them

Barnsley have a great youth set up, they recruit young promising lads from all around donny,Rotherham, worksop etc.. they gobble up all the talent but once they’ve tried and tested them all they just dump them on the scrapheap..maybe 1 in 500 they keep and sell on if they make it.

Gillingham have signed Nathan Thomas, obviously the homesickness has worn off.

Very interesting charts from Ben Mayhew that show we have the 3rd smallest squad churn in League 2 so far, with only Walker being a big loss from last season and only bit part players leaving, which seems to back up the theory that JR believed we have the right squad but not the right manager. Salford are keeping the vast majority of their team together, whilst Carlisle are haemorrhaging players.

Relegated county as they played with 10 men every time he started and now playing in league one... Think Evans will struggle big time

That's right, they got relegated based on one player who only started 14 games for them.

Is this guy worth looking at? - Isaac Buckley Ricketts (Peterborough). He's not played many games and it would need a transfer fee.

"League One rivals Southend and League Two sides Carlisle and Colchester have enquired about former Manchester City winger Isaac Buckley-Ricketts, but no bids have yet been received." - Peterborough Telegraph

worth watching No Hunger In Paradise doc by BT Sport.... It shows how youth academies are almost completely pointless and its only there incase you uncover the next Messi... then again if you do and sell him, you probably only just make the money back you've spent on the youth setup to find him.

In most cases, one particular age group will have one or two promising players, all the other lads are just there so the one or two potential stars have a team to play in. And then after everything, a bigger club can just come in and sign them.
