Northampton are clearly going for it next season. They will be paying top dollar as well for their early signings which JR will know about after our last two seasons.

They are just another Bury in disguise. Yo Yo there way in between league 1 and 2 with money they haven't got under numerous owners.

They'll go up this year and come down the next.

The signings they have made are not that special at this moment in time. The squad they had was rubbish. Plus they have Curle as manager who hasn't achieved anything ever.

Not even a single rumour of us being linked with anyone at all. Boring and frustrating.

Trying to get Tyler back which will take up a lot of the budget. Once that is either agreed or denied then plan B will happen. Trouble with that is MON wants to see him in action so it could be another month or so before we'll know the answer. He will be playing for Forest at Alfreton at the end of June apparently.

The irony is that a) Tyler walker is not good enough to impact the Forest first team now they're looking to get promoted, and b) MON will be sacked soon into the season if they aren't off to a flier. So the 'MON wants to see him in action' bit is a totally pointless exercise as far at Walker and Forest are concerned.

We all know that, but towards the end of the season Forest were struggling for goals & loads of their fans were like "Tyler Walker's scoring 20+ goals & we can't score goals" so if he let him out again without seeing him play/giving him a chance then he'll get criticised again.

To me Tyler is not clinical enough for The Championship, he'd be a bench warmer at best for Florist. He'll score a few but not enough to make him a regular.

Tyler did his job last season. Really important player for us and one of our best.

However, I don't think he overperformed. The stats suggest he should have scored a few more than he did. To me that's worthy of a step up to L1 or another season in L2. No way he's ready for the champ at the moment.

Regardless of what's happening with Tyler (if anything at all, maybe you know something we don't Dan) it's still poor we've been linked with no one. It's at best boring and at worst incredibly uninspiring. In fact, it's both.

There's a couple of other Forest U23's we're looking at which if we get will be good signings.

Well I hope they have more impact than Grant and Smith.

We need to look elsewhere. I can remember the delay in signing a striker when we hoped Green would stay but he went to Birmingham. I hope we don't make the same mistake again.

If we are looking for a player who can play wide and up front then Jerry Yates (22) at Rotherham United would be worth looking at. He went on loan to Carlisle last season and scored 6 goals in 23 league appearances. He's apparently avavilable to go out on loan again. It might be worthwhile JD giving Richie Barker a ring. Here's a quote from the Carlisle News & Star:

"Reports in Yorkshire yesterday said Blues target Jerry Yates is set to leave Rotherham on loan this summer. Carlisle, who have already tabled bids for Yates, are keen on a deal for the striker, who is also being chased by Swindon. Millers No 2 Richie Barker told the Rotherham Advertiser that Yates had a number of options."

....and while we are at it we could sign Jamie Devitt as well

Forest
Forest probably thought the same about a young player called Duncan Mckenzie whom we had on loan twice, and look how he turned out.

I see Matt Green has left Salford, looks like he’s had his best days now, probably end up at Clownty or Spirites because I think conference is his level now.
