I expect it to be high for both Maynard and MacDonald.
Maynard -top scorers don’t come cheap and he’s about as premium as there is in our league.
MacDonald was one of our best player, particularly before his bad injury. He was subject to a high bid according to the rumours so it makes sense he’s a top earner from the that, at the time we really wanted to keep him.

I've got a note from an Oxford site that Alex MacDonald was on around £2,500 per week at Oxford in 2014-2015 when he signed from Burton. The Stags signed him in January 2017 and then he signed a new contract after a good season in June 2018 so he or his agent may have negotiated a pay rise. I can remember we were all wondering whether we would be able to keep him. I would guess £3,000-£3,500 per week is in the right ball park. We were paying £3,500 per week for Paul Anderson according to Dan.

Strikers are usually the highest paid players at the club and it was said on here that we were paying £5,000 per week for Tyler Walker. I think Kane Hemmings was said to be on £4,500-£5,000 per week at Notts County. Chris O'Grady was supposed to be on £4,800 per week at Chesterfield. Salford were supposed to be paying Adam Rooney £4,000 per week. Lincoln were said to be paying around £3,500 per week for John Akinde etc. Salford are now offering £5,000 per week for Will Griggs.

Gosh - If that is true, Macca is the biggest waste of money in the clubs history! He is absolutely useless (and always has been in my opinion - he cant tackle, cant pass doesn't score and rarely provides any assists - he just runs around like a headless chicken).
I remember at the begining of last season Macca wanted more money and the CEO accommodated him saying that he 'needed to be loved' -
Unbelievable financial mis-management and poor decision making. Almost as bad as deciding that JD would be the ideal manager.
Big mistakes being made by this club.

£3,750 mate.

Also we did pay 100% of Tyler Walkers wages at £5,000 a week.

We pay more than 5k a week for Maynard? How do you know that?

That's what I got told. £5500 for Maynard. £3500 for MacDonald.

£3500 a week for MacDonald !!!!

I really hope not.

I think it's likely to be correct, bearing in mind who signed him.

I remember the same manager saying of Macca that he was good enough to play in the Championship. To be fair Macca was playing well at that time.

You & Gazza should set up the David Flitcroft fan club as you both love him that much you can’t see anything wrong in him but think Steve Evans is the equivalent to Harold Shipman

Actually clubs don’t actually pay the wages direct to players in loan deals, that’s why Macclesfield like loans so much. Clubs pay ‘loan fees’ direct to clubs for players. I heard we paid £20k a month to Forest for 10 months (£200k in total) for Walker.

You are invoiced by the loan player's club for the loan player's services. You also have to pay VAT at 20% on top. Therefore you need to agree whether the amount being paid includes or excludes VAT.

If you agreed to pay £5,000 to Forest for Tyler Walker exclusive of VAT then Forest would invoice you £6,000 (£5,000 plus £1,000 VAT).

Gillingham fans saying John Akinde wants £7,000 per week.

.....and Steve Evans is claiming Gillingham have the lowest budget in League 1

Now you're getting it

We could but Andy left the "David Flitcroft fan club" and founded the "fan club for David Flitcroft". Splitters! ;)

Come on Corporal. You must realise by now that this forum creaks under the weight of people who know all the club’s financial details, every player’s wages and how much pocket money the Radfords’ give their boys.

Some players are on silly money.Tom Barkhuizen at PNR.is on 50K per week. And yes I have seen his wage slip.He is not even first choice.Regarding Macca he is not as bad as some people think.Until we get someone better he is first choice.

So you’re telling me that Barkhuizen left Morecambe and demanded 50k a week at chuffing Preston?

I very much doubt Tom Berkhuizen is on £50,000 per week at Preston North End. It is more likely to be £50,000 per month (£12,500 per week).

Darragh MacAnthony said Jack Marriott was on £18,000-£19,000 per week at Derby County.

£50k a month, maybe. Footballers generally get paid monthly. So that's £11k-12k p/w. That's much more believable for a 26 year old forward from league 2 being given a shot in the championship.
