I've just rang MK Ticket Office. They told me that tickets for lower tier have been reconfigured now so you'll be able to use them for an upper tier turnstile

So they could just re-programme their turnstyle system to block the affected lower tier tickets and allow entry to the upper tier.
WHY DID THEY NOT IMPLEMENT THIS BEFORE THE PRESS RELEASE YESTERDAY!!! Lack of thought perhaps?

I hope they will have plenty of people for the exchange of tickets. If it takes 10 seconds per ticket to change then it will take 1 person 4 hours to deal with all the tickets. Add into this chaos the fact that they decided to let under 12s in free so some families will be looking for refunds. If we arrive early to do the exchange will they allow us to get into the ground or will we be milling around outside adding to the chaos.

So by those maths it'll take 8 people at least 30 mins to process this, then you'll have to queue again to get in. Gonna be a dismal experience especially if it's peeing it down

There isnt a separate queue by sounds of it. There will be a ticket exchange, quick search, then through the gate which is opening behind the pods. 'it should' be seemless. If it's not its going to be carnage. But don't worry, turning up early solves everything

No just turn up at 2.55pm you might miss the kick off but at least you've had the satisfaction of chucking another 3 pint down your neck.

Well then they shouldn't moan if they don't get in on time. They have been warned about the potential issues days in advance, so have plenty of time to set off earlier if they like a few beers, and still make sure they get to the turnstiles in plenty of time. As I understand, they will even be serving alcohol at the ground if they want to socialise with Stags fans and have a few beers at the same time.

My issue is not with people drinking, it's people basically choosing drinking over supporting their team, and then moaning that they might not be inside the ground in time for kick off.

I haven't a clue what your plans are & I don't really care but I could guess. So despite what big guy has said about the bus driver being the one who made the decision, you're now saying YOU agreed on a pickup of 1.45pm. At the end of the day you're the one moaning that you might miss kick off yet you're the ones who decided on being picked up (from a pub no doubt) at 1.45pm. You can't have it both ways. Put up or shut up.

Quite funny how one says one thing & the other says something completely different. Now the bus time has been changed when apparently it couldn't be "because of 50 others" & "the driver knows best" etc .

In fairness this is an issue caused by MK 2 days before the game when they've had the tickets on sale for a month and people like Chander have gone to great personal effort to arrange a bus, pay for it etc etc all in personal time and arrange a great day out for those included to be messed around - seemingly on purpose at the whim of the MK police etc etc.

You've then got to contact 50 or so people to arrange different times and change your plan in the last minute - and on that basis I'd be rightfully pissed off - MK need to be the ones who bend their backs on this occasion (which they seemingly have) rather than folk who have arranged this ages ago.

Had this information been cascaded by MK a week or so ago then the situation would be different - but it hasn't.

Whether on a bus going to the pub, those who have made travel plans on trains or those who have made plans with family - asking those to change plans at the last minute is poor and wide of the mark - and ultimately this has been proven to be the case by MK backing down and accepting tickets through the lower tiers

why I am justifying this, I don't know but for the record - I have a facebook messenger group. I asked the group if they would mind the bus leaving earlier to accommodate the issue. The view was yes, let's leave early. I then went and asked the bus driver to ensure he didn't have a problem. So yes, thee group and driver have since been consulted that the plans are having to change,to arrive early all because of MKs owner and Police( I still believe they have a hand in this).

It's not about having an extra pint. It's about the fact we are stopping on route. It's not as if we are just around the corner from the ground. Hence making this whole fiasco a pain in arse, when in fact it should just be a case of showing a ticket and sitting in your allocated seat.
