HOME ATTENDANCE STATS

for League games only 2018/2019:

Average attendance at the One Call Stadium: 4897 (up from 4309 last season)
includes average away following at the One Call Stadium: 401 (hugely down from 558 last season)

4897 is the highest average attendance since 2003/2004 season.
The average has been pretty much steadily rising since 2010/2011 season.
(averages by season listed here: https://stagsnet.net/fm/stats/Stats.html)

Highest attendance of the season: 7177 (vs Lincoln)
Lowest attendance of the season: 3730 (vs Crawley)

Only two clubs brought an away following of over 1000 (Lincoln and Notts County). In fact, the third highest away following was just 544 (Grimsby).
Last season, 5 clubs brought over 1000 and a further 4 brought between 500 and 1000.

A couple of quick points on Mansfield’s away following with one game left at MK Dons:

Mansfield took more than 1000 to 6 away games (will become 7 with MK Dons).

Average away following: 791 (will increase after MK Dons game)
(or 624 if you exclude the 4283 at Notts County)

Think I can remember a quote of 4000 to make us sustainable in this league?
I really hope that John Radford makes a profit this year especially with no more payments for the ground.
5 years in the non league and we survived and own our own ground.
Wow what a year and what a last day when we are not hoping for a win for playoffs or relegation.

Wouldn't it of been great if it was county Saturday and we win and we go up and they go down :o
Then again if we would of beaten them we would be up and they would be down.

Yet some on here insist on continuously rolling out the old trope that the Mansfield public suffer from apathy towards the club. Utter nonsense. When we were getting under 3000 and people moaned, some of us said that the crowds would be up to around 5000 if we were challenging at the top of League 2, et voila. Excellent support this season. It's not rocket-science. Do well and the crowds increase. When we're at the top of League 1, we'll average 6,500 I should think.

Great season with the attendance in the up ground secured and an improvement season on season since our return from the pit of Misery.

Three times this season we've lost back to back league games with the next game being a win for the Stags

Colchester Away 3 2 FGR at home 1 0

Come on Stags let's finish the season off with a win at MK

Given its a play-off final Saturday can we take that 5598 fans required to average an away following of 1000? I suspect its unlikely but who knows.

Fantastic support both home and away this year.

Very happy reading.

That should give JR the assurances that his efforts aren't in vain and the town is reciprocating.

Still a long way to go, but if we can replicate that % increase year on year coupled with a promotion and some larger away followings, happy days.

It'll continue easily if we're in league 1 - with away followings we could be pushing 6,000 no doubt.

It shows what's on offer next season if we go up

Peterborough, Coventry, Burton, Oxford, Bristol Rovers, Shrewsbury, Lincoln, Ipswich, Bolton are certainties to bring 1,000 you'd imagine, with 3 of Barnsley, Portsmouth, Sunderland. Charlton and Doncaster also going to bring that also.

Those lot or the likes of Morecambe and Stevenage.

Imagine the money to be made there.

Fantastic support both home and away this year.

More realistic is taking 3298 to average 900.

Fair point but looks like it will easily surpass the 900 barrier so need a new target for the remainder of the week haha.

2,877 announced this morning but available online tickets have dropped since by at least 150 to take it over the 3,000 mark. I'd be disappointed if we only sold another 300 between now and kick-off.

Online currently 524 / 790 as it stands to keep track.

Need to get the atmosphere going like we did at Oldham (not that it helped the result but can only do our bit).

Our average away support as a percentage of our average net home attendance is impressive.

How do we compare to other L2 teams?

Hope so.

If our initial allocation is 4000 (just shy) and we had officially sold 2877 by 9.30 am and further sales of approx 150 by your calculations then we should have less than a thousand left (and not 1314 as per the ticket site?)

Only asking as I have yet to purchase my tickets, assume we can have more or still pay on the day if we sell our initial allocation?
Given the ground size and no ticket limit/deadlines (some will pay on the day) we could be looking at 4000+ (impressive)

Agreed the maths doesn't make sense but we appear to be selling blocked sections online that don't agree with the tickets available. Example extra 1000 been made available earlier today but not added to the available tickets online.

All we can do is keep selling tickets and make sure we are heard loud and clear.

Just short of another 400 tickets sold since the update earlier today means we should be in and around 3,400 strong.

162 / 762 currently online - if anyone is in doubt get yourselves down there for the biggest game of the season and join the amber and blue army! COYS!!!

448 now available - movement of 476. Therefore roughly 3,900 strong.

Fantastic effort.

About 1700 fans away from averaging 1,000 fans per game this season.

Correction 4,000 has now been breached!!!

No affect on MTFC, they pay rent to One Call Estates for the use of the ground.
