For the Love of God

How bad does CJ have to play before Flitcroft will drop him?

Since the transfer speculation CJ has been an absolute passenger in this team, yet DF keeps moving round the pitch so he can be inept, up front, inept at RWB, inept t LWB or inept in midfield. In the meantime players who are doing little wrong are being sacrificed to keep CJ on the pitch. It's madness.

I've been a cheer leader for CJ in the past, but been bloody hopeless for months now.

it’s that one moment of speed and pass every couple of games he keeps picking him for.

Apart from Colchester away, where he won us the game, Exeter away where he won us the game, Cheltenham at home where he won us the game.....

Cheltenham and Exeter were last month. Have you been on the beer? Get a grip, whole team are bottling it, not one player. Even Bishop who has been fantastic all season has had two poor games in a row, they can't handle the pressure.

Bishop had a (probably his first) bad game today. The team was below par today. They failed to deal with the conditions. For the life of me, I cannot understand the logic in belting high balls forward when there is a gale-force wind blowing towards you.

As for CJ, he was a wasted shirt last week at Oldham and was a luxury today. I’m with Sneag. I’d bench him for (what is now a vitally important game) MK away next week.

...be a bold move, but maybe needs putting on the bench for Saturday given the expected large Stags following.

Yep let's bench one of our only match winners, second top scorer and team of the season individual. You lot have lost the plot.

You’ll regret having bought those Rose-coloured glasses when he underperforms again next week.

The only real threat other than Walker and some of you want him benched. Only on Stagsnet :banghead:

And who is knocking down his door for a place in the team? Rose? Macca? Grant? None of the above.

How can individual who has done so much to get us to where we are in the first place be blamed for the failure of a season. Ridiculous.

Let’s bench all creative players - standard stagsnet response to any defeat.

The only problem CJ on the bench DF doesn't know any other way to win than playing attacking football down the left hand side every attack goes down the left.n we've become predictable over the last few months teams fill the right side of their half n it stops the Stags playing..... n we haven't got players.that can think lefts pass it down the other wing were Jones stands on his own most of the game......

Can he head it? No.
Positional awareness? Lacking
Passing? Underweighted and lacking accuracy.
Two footed? No
Aggressive? No
Can he shoot? Not really

Personally I think he can do it but just doesn’t choose to.

Starting lineup is irrelevant as Flitcroft will make awful subs to hurt our chances regardless.

It's not CJs fault that he's out of form & gets asked to play in various positions that don't suit him. His problem (& ours) is that when he lost form and would have benefitted from a week or two on the bench, he became untouchable, each poor game he's had has dented his confidence further.

No doubt he'll play next week and fingers crossed he'll have a good game and I can eat a great bit slice of crow.

Hamilton has to be the biggest girls blouse to ever play for Mansfield. He’s over 6 foot tall and defenders take the ball like candy off a baby. One of too many lightweight show ponies

Don't talk rubbish, it wasn't great in very blustery conditions, but it wasn't embarrassing. Check out the match stats.
