Boro Scorefred sponsored by The Amber and Blue

Postby Mr Grimsdale » Wed Apr 24, 2019 11:47 am

Here it is the last 'League' home game of the season.

The song should be belted out on Sat... give it everything we have, players, fans alike.

2-1 Mansfield Walker , Rose (Well he's due and it has to be written in the stars)

Att 7134 (SAG experts I don't know what's the official limit now I'm sure you'll let me know)

Will be a tough game this. They’re in cracking form and have a big incentive just like us. Need to keep Ilias Chair quiet, some of the goals he’s scored this season out of nothing from long distance have been ridiculous.

Tomlinson or Macca in for Grant for me. Again I’d go with Hamilton on the right for Jones with Rose up top but I don’t think he will. First goal will be crucial, we need a quick start!

Let's not get on their backs at all. They do much better when they're encouraged.

It's a game where heros can be made.

I do hope that Flickr can see that in midfield, neither the double creative pairing, nor the triple defensive partnership works.

Mellis, Bishop and Macca/Tomlinson for me.

The odd thing about this game is if both Mansfield and Mk match each others result, MK will have to attack us next weekend. I think we'd be more up for the game knowing we'd have to win to secure promotion. I think this team will be 'rabits in headlights' if we just can't lose on the final day, but maybe I'm getting ahead of myself.

Say a little prayer people.

Straightforward enough without any knicker entanglement...

Win Saturday, by any score, and move on to league one next season. The rest is amateur dramatics for a pro dramatics generation.

With Dazza in charge it's gonna be tough, but recently when he's ref'd us he's been ok..ish. Start is important, we need to be really on it. If we aren't then can see us ending up with our pants down and Stevenage taking the pee like Oldham did on Monday.

A tough game as they have a chance of the play offs and I’m sure they’ll want to spoil our party. We need 4 points in the last two games to go up provided that MK Dons don’t score for fun this Saturday. It would be better getting a win here and not requiring one at MK away but there’s an easy way, a hard way and a Mansfield way!

I’m going to go 2-1 Stags!

I think Drysdale will be ok.

Remember Stevenage have to win so will need to push forward and gaps will be left. Part of me says two creative midfielders could work in this game but the other part says Grant doesn't have the commitment. Start with Tomlinson who can be more creative than Macca and give CJ a free licence to go where he wants across the front and that should stop them putting two men on him.

It will be a tight start but we could win by two or three. An early goal would help but that is not us this year.

Weather looks set to be foul ahead of kick off, with heavy rain and strong winds.

Could favour Stevenage, but I still think we will win.

This is gonna be really tough. We will be nervous as a team and we need an early goal to let us settle in to our game.
They have hopes of the play offs and are in good form. They will bring it to us that's for sure.
Going for 1 nil victory with a goal just before half time from Benning and a nerve wrecking finish with them hitting the post late on .....
