Yes we're still 3rd but yet again we have failed to show up for a big away game so how does that inspire confidence for a do or die shoot out at MK?

Who has defended today’s performance?

We’re third, with two games left. Enjoy it because in football you don’t have many promotion seasons.

Results may favour us again at weekend everything to play for.

The lads worked there wotsits off to get back into the game, didn't give up even when they had a mountain to climb at 3-1.
A very open game, too open from our perspective. We're not out of this promotion chase in any way, shape of form. We always mnew it was going to be a bumpy ride but 3rd with 2 games left is a good position to be in.

The others have got losses left in them, on paper MK & Tranmere should have won today but they didn't.

MK even missed a penno today. How crucial will that one be in a fortnight's time ? Remains to be seen.

Two more big decisions not mentioned yet; the ref looking straight at the stags player appealing for a penalty while the Oldham defender still had his arms around his waist preventing him getting to the ball which the ref waved away, and that awful shoulder barge on Benning which sent him into the stags bench and resulted in nothing more than a throw in to Oldham.

Yet another penalty turned down and a possible red card for dangerous play.

End of the day we made it to hard for ourself yesterday, starting a game like that at this stage of the season is criminal from all concerned.

It’s still in our hands and I believe we will do it. Just.

The foul on Benning was shocking and dangerous. Haven’t we had a player have to retire over something similar? Hendrie was chatting balls till he saw the long view. That should have been a red.

Oldham were clever at the 'holding' stuff. A few times at Oldham corners O'Grady would hold one of our defenders from getting to his man to mark them leaving them free at the back post. I think the ref eventually cottoned onto the ploy and had a word with him.

I agree with you it was blatant and could have caused a nasty injury. You are right I think it was John Thomson who suffered severe facial injuries which ultimately ended his career.

That statement feels true over the last half a decade but it means that yesterdays game was like starting two goals down. Shouldn't be accepted in the modern game of professional officials. The decisions in this game plus the penalty decisions in games like Forest Green away, Newport away, Tranmere at home could make a massive difference to our final position at the end of the season.

The biggest factor that could make a massive difference in our final position was the embarrassing spineless ineptitude of the Clownty game.

We need a song to show Dazza how much we love him and get him on our side. After all he was the ref the day we put that massive nail in the sheep's coffin last season

Well, here we are yet again, big game & those decisions... As for decisions working themselves out over a season... Absolute rubbish, we have to work incredibly hard to get what rubs of the green we do & even after this relatively successful season, it's hard to remember a howler by the officials going our way or a large stroke of fortune coming in our direction.

I thought the decision to award Newport a free kick rather than us a penalty earlier in the season when CJ was wiped out was bad... The two big decisions last night are a perfect example of what goes for other teams, but hardly ever for us.
I backed my car into a cop car the other day, he just drove off, sometimes life's okay...

Yet again it was an atrocious decision and more than that there is never any accountability for these dratic mistakes.

I have no time for Neil Warnock but you see the injustices suffered by Cardiff this year especially the 4 diabolical mistakes in one game by Craig Pawson (whos got a high profile game this weekend) and all that happens is the Manager gets fined and there is silence from the referees and authorities who continually trumpet the respect for officials aspect......respect is earned not automatically given because someone says so

Ref was appalling. Total bottle merchant. Loads of Facebook friends watched the game and every one of them thought it should have been a red.

He completely bottled it.
