Stevenage Home Game

Could be very tasty last home game if this is anything to go by.

With so much at stake, bound to boil over if they try this again.

Blatant time-wasting is disgusting and needs to be punished by the referee. It’s no good just adding minutes at the end of the game, because by then the damage has been done.

Little said recently about Lincoln and the Cowleys' blatant similar tactic.

However what would our view be if our club did it and other clubs complained...

Wouldn’t be bothered as long as it worked for us.

The refs job to decide what’s breaking football laws. There team got battered 4-1 at home and he’s moaning bout time wasting.

I thought yesterday at 1-0 up we were time wasting even before half time.

I think the tactics they deploy rests on the outcome of their game on Monday.

Beat Exeter they leapfrog them and will be in the play off picture with everything to play for against us so will deploy every tactic they can to steal an advantage.

Lose against Exeter this will put them 5 points behind with two to go and pretty much out of it given how close the battle for 7th place is.

Doesn't Martin in his match commentaries refer to blatant time wasting by the Stags as something like "game management"?
Every team does it to a greater or lesser extent, but I hate to see it no matter who's guilty.

We were certainly slowing things down, but I think that was more to do with both sets of players wanting regular drink breaks. Dunno if anyone noticed but it was a bit warm yesterday.
