Bury 74pts
Mansfield 73pts
Mk Dons 72pts
Tranmere 71pts

Mansfield v Morecambe
Newport v Bury (A)
Notts County v Mk Dons (A)
Tranmere v Forest Green (H)

Bury v Northampton (H)
Lincoln v Tranmere (A)
Mk Dons v Port Vale (H)
Oldham v Mansfield

Colchester v Mk Dons (A)
Mansfield v Stevenage
Tranmere v Bury (D)

Bury v Port Vale (H)
Crawley v Tranmere (A)
Mk Dons v Mansfield

Ignoring our fixtures and assuming Tranmere v Bury is a draw the points would be as follows.

Bury 84pts
Mk Dons 81pts
Tranmere 81pts

As Sneag said above 3 wins and a draw should do it providing Tranmere don't go on a goal scoring frenzy in other games and beat Bury. If that did happen then us, Bury and Tranmere would be tied on 83pts.

Still plenty of twists and turns to be had no doubt between now and the end of the season though.

9 points required.
You've got to go there and come back, to know where you've been.

Win both home games and 1 of the away games and we'll be there

No chance that Bury will get 10 points. Lincoln won’t roll over versus Tranmere either. 8 points enough I think, maybe even 7 so long as we don’t lose at MK.

The equation would be a little easier had we not been so defensive and lacklustre against such a bog standard side.....

Anyway....

Friday is massive - a win of any type will do and see what happens again results wise - we could be 2nd and 4 clear of 4th or we could be 5th!

Tranmeres run is awful, if they go up auto then fair play to them!

Would need 9 points from next 3 to have any chance of that in my opinion.

Good Friday is an interesting match day,

Tranmere need a win to guarantee play offs. Forest Green need a win to stave off the chasing pack.

Notts County need a win to have any hope of avoiding relegation, mk dons need a win to chase 3rd.

Bury need a win to keep up the promotion chase and are away at a Newport side 5 points off the play offs, their pitch can be a deciding factor.

We are at home to a Morecombe side who are 10 points clear of the relegation zone, with 12 left to play for.

A other factor is Lincoln can claim the champions slot with a win on Friday, will they finish professionally? I think they will but always a possibility.

It's an improvement if you win them, if you don't it's no better than finishing 8th.

I don't fancy us to get anything at MK Dons with another big away following, unless both teams are in a position where a draw would be enough. That's why I'm so surprised at the lack of ambition we showed this weekend.

Not really though. An improvement is participating in them when you wasn't good enough to the previous season. If we finish 4th and lose in the play offs we would still be the 4th best side over the 46 games.

The trouble is though Gazza, losing in the playoffs can (but not always) be very detrimental to the prospects the following season. A near miss can result in your better players becoming unsettled and looking to move on. The biggest risk for us would be another year without promotion is another year cliser to JR's tipping point, when he might think he's flushing money down the bog for nil reward.

Lincoln lost in the play offs last year and they've done fine this season. .

We lost the playoff 11/12 season then went up as champions the following year.

The key is letting a manager get on with his job. There were calls for Cox to go and JR stuck by him. Cowleys were under some pressure at one point. You can argue that next season is Flitcroft's first, with the players he wants.

Luckily alot of our better players are on deals next season so if they want to go, we set the price.
