How did Ken Anderson ever pass the fit and proper person test. He had previously been disqualified as a director for 8 years!!

It looks like League 1 will be running two clubs short next season - Bolton and Bury.

Bolton are not playing their last league game as their SAG has issued a prohibition notice. Brentford have been awarded a 1-0 win.

It looks grim but why couldn't they play behind closed doors?

It sounds like they have enough players and if there is no crowd where is the safety issue?

Not an ideal situation but at least they would have fulfilled their fixtures and avoided probable expulsion. Maybe I'm just being too simplistic but the whole thing seems a mess.

What's betting Notts County will win the AGM Cup and stop up.

We could do with a Yeovil win tomorrow and a County defeat or draw just to make sure

How can they be allowed to go up, if that happens?

Worrying times at Bury

Forever Bury Statement 17 May 2019

A meeting to discuss the current status at Bury Football Club has been held between representatives from Forever Bury and Bury Football Club officials. Following the meeting and the continued non-payment of players and staff, Forever Bury continues to have grave concerns over the current situation. As a consequence, Forever Bury will be consulting with relevant regulatory authorities, as well as the English Football League and the Football Association to outline its concerns. In addition, Forever Bury have set in motion arranging a meeting with Supporters Direct and their legal representatives, to solicit advice on what will be the most appropriate action to take as the Supporters’ Trust of Bury Football Club.

What a shocking state of affairs, it is a disgrace that the EFL didn’t carry out due diligence. They are certainly relegation fodder if they survive that long.

Fair play to the supporters group ‘Bury Forever’ for being proactive in their approach to the situation they find themselves in.

Perhaps some of our resident Spireites should take note. A supporters organisation fighting for their club instead of rolling over and having their bellies tickled.

It's incredible that they achieved automatic promotion given the pressures and not receiving their wages on time.

Maybe the issues and the distractions galvanised them

Perhaps we pampered our guys too much. Cancel Portugal JR. :)

Why don't the EFL get their act together and do something about these club owners who they've certified as "right and proper" and yet make fools of and undermine their clubs managers players employees and fans as both Bolton and Bury have done.

Instead of trotting out yet another politically correct program pandering to one cause or another why don't they just do what they're supposed to do that matters to EFL clubs and supporters around the country.

If some rule meant that we got promoted instead of bury. Would that mean DF fulfilled his task after all?

It's also incredible that we didn't have any bottle in big games/big crowds. Even if we'd just found some 40 times used urine sample bottle at some time towards the end of the season then we'd be playing Lge 1 next season.

Come next season with us keeping the majority of the squad so far it'll be the games where they're 'expected to', and the games where they're backed big time that'll show me whether they've found some.

That would be a good story Gazza. A manager is sacked for not winning promotion and then the club goes up after all.

Would JR then reinstate DF?

Agree with Andy Amber, all we needed was a point with all are FULLY OVERPAID stars and overnight trippers.
the players need to remember this during their next jolly to Portugal.
Come on JR this is not good business sense, make it more basic and perhaps they will respond and respect u and us more.

Statement from Bury players who have still not been paid. The players call on Steve Dale to sell the club before it is too late.

"From what we understand the Chairman bought the club for £1 with a good understanding of the problems it had. He openly says this in his first ever press nterview. If it's become too much, all we ask is that you step aside, move on and stop negatively impacting everyone's livelihoods. We have been made aware via various sources that offers ave been made to Bury FC, which would see him making money after such a short amount of time in control of the club. Mr Chairman, we know you have no regard or consideration for us as players our families or our futures, but please just accept the offer and walk away from our club before you bring it to its knees."

Basically they’ve gone up with money they don’t have or ever had, hardly fair. Granted ours is backed but at least the moneys there
