Mansfield Town 1-2 Railway Men – (G)rants away

My take on yesterday, seeing as a few have liked my others recently.

Again, viewer discretion is advised as I like to swear a bit these days.

Do not view if you are easily offended or a snowflake.

We have been countering for a few games that Mellis and Grant are a luxury together and Tomlinson should be in with Bishop. I suspect, at the moment, that you could include put CJ into that group as too ineffective to be playing all at the same time.

One thing which has occurred reading that, is whether we were actually unlucky at Carlisle. Our drop in form has come after White and Olejnik were sidelined and teams have been really sticking the boot in. Three players on CJ, wind up Bishop, press the goalkeeper so he has to kick and suddenly we are clueless. I think that Carlisle might have been the first to work us out and do something about it. Mellis was absolutely clattered after 5 and wasn't effective. Wind on 5 weeks and he was taken out by Doyle at County, lost his head and had to be taken off.
I fear we have been worked out and have been found wanting

We were not unlucky at Carlisle, they were the first team to run us ragged at times, somehow we came back into the match with 10 men but we deserved nowt from the game.
