Nottingham half marathon

Postby Foresttownstag » Tue Mar 19, 2019 10:38 am

Morning Staggies,

In September of this year I will be running the Nottingham half marathon on behalf of cancer research.

If anyone would like to donate it would be hugely appreciated.

I will have the donation link shortly which I will share on this page.

Many thanks

You can’t even drag yourself away from the tea table to play football for an hr let alone run 13 1/2 miles!!!!!!

But of course I will sponsor you and wish you good luck in your endeavours and training.

Forest Town Stag, how is the training coming along? Will we get regular updates?

It started with 2 pints in the SP bar then a pie at half time.

Feeling good, will keep you posted

You will have a better chance of reaching the top three finishers than that shower today.

Bumping this up.

Just an update I am now 89% of the way to my target of £500.00 which will be hopefully extended to £1,000 upon completion.

I will also be running a sweepstake at £2 a go to guess my finish time. Prize pot of £70.00. If anyone is interested PM me or let me know at any of the remaining games.

Cheers

So you're at the stage where you can get to the bar and back without getting out of breath

Reposting this as I have now signed up for the 2020 Half Marathon.

Last year I raised just shy of £900 for Cancer Research, I believe a few donations came from Stagsnet so thank you to all those who donated.

The link to donate again is below should anyone wish too.

It's 13.21 miles actually. Ps I'm doing it if I don't get in the great North!

I did this once, in about 2011 probably. Did it in 1hr 51mins.

Hate running, not run that distance since.

Good luck!
You've got to go there and come back, to know where you've been.
