Great win for Newport. They controlled the game from beginning to end. Notts County knocked the ball round well for a 5 minute spell after they equalised but they were second best all over the pitch tonight. A big wake up call after their recent run of good results against Lincoln, Forest Green and the Stags. They would normally need promotion form to survive but Yeovil and Port Vale are in free fall.

I went to Woking vs Hemel in Conference South. Woking returned to the top of the league with a 3-1 win.

Dave Tarpey played for Woking and really caught my eye. Great pace, and eye for goal, great control, good crossing and good set pieces. He set up the first goal with a wonderful cross, then was brought down for a penalty which he converted.

Tarpey scored 46 goals for Maidenhead in Conference South in 2016-17 earning him a move to the Football League, with Barnet. But then he got a terrible cruciate ligament injury which put him out for well over a year. He's on loan at Woking from Barnet. He looks fully fit and someone should give him another crack at the Football League.

Didn't Dave Tarpey sign for Barnet then pick up a serious injury?

There you go, just shows if you turn up and 'play' against Clownty you win.

How long will it take me to get over Sat I don't know, now I've watched that it gives me the creeps on how poor we were.

Nice bit of scouting business Martin . No doubt you will be keeping an eye on Tarpey . He sounds an excellent player.
On the other hand Ricky Miller scored a shed load of goals in non League but hasn't managed to do it in the football League

What was Calum Hudson-Odoi's brother like as a player ?

Bradley Hudson-Odoi is a lot older than his brother. He played against us nearly ten years ago for Grays.

He's played for a host of non league clubs.

He didn't get off the bench last night.
