Very interesting and unexpected! I did think that we were a centre mid short, but with Macca on the verge of coming back sooner that i thought i was starting to think we could manage without. Young lad who i know absolutely nothing about, but now we have 4 solid options (I hope) for the midfield 2 in Mellis, Bishop, Macca and now Tomlinson.

Think we have good cover all over the pitch now, our bench looks a lot stronger than it did 1 month ago!

18 month loan?
You've got to go there and come back, to know where you've been.

Feel sorry for the YT lads now who are trying to make it, they're being overlooked imo.

It doesn't. Mistake.

Is this a signing for now or one for the future do we think?

Welcome Willem.

Going up more important than giving kids token game time at the moment.

Exactly. Smiths been given a new contract, but not ready yet and Flitcroft sees that by the looks of his comments when announced. These next few months are massive and we’ve got to do what we can to get up!

Wow! Most Blackburn fans seem to rate him - so will do for me. Well done yet again all concerned, Exeter fans are a little gutted too 8-) .

Welcome aboard Willem!

One start and one sub appearance in B Team Trophy, four sub appearances in League 1 and one sub appearance in FA Cup.

Probably one for the U21s/Reserves.

Who do we drop though? We have so much quality in midfield it's unreal. I can't see Macca getting a sniff and that speaks volumes as I really rate him.

What a position we are in. We all deserve these amazing times after sticking with our club during the dark days.

We don't need to drop anyone though, do we? If Willem deserves a starting place, it will be earned over others.

Most Millwall fans rated Butcher also, so I'd wait till the lad's shown us what he can do first.

Or the match day squad

The last few weeks we have had several youth team players Smith & Law on the bench. On pedigree alone he has to be equal to them if not possibly stronger.

Until Macca is fit we don’t have another box to box midfielder other than Bish
