The Macc 'Lads'

No not the mildly popular band of the 70's and 80's , who's most famous ditty I believe was Beer, chips, sex and gravy.

A little band of a dozen or so white trainer, goggle wearing, knuckle draggers who came up behind the North Stand, then next seen strolling under escort up St Peters Way. Blue lights everywhere, and a couple of them about my age, I thought they'd brought Grandad out too for a bit of a knock

Macc forum claims that our horrible stewards stopped 50 of their 'lads' getting in the ground. Probably about 5 spotty teenagers and an ageing skinhead who still thinks he's down with the kids.

Statement from Macclesfield town. Seems on the fans forum that these fans you refer too were the one's not allowed in - however they are investigating at their end why.

"Macclesfield Town are aware that some of our supporters experienced issues in being admitted to the One Call Stadium ahead of our Sky Bet League Two game with Mansfield Town yesterday.

We would like to place on record that we are taking this very seriously and as such, are currently liaising with all relevant parties.

The safety of all our supporters is paramount to us, whether at the Moss Rose or on our travels and you can be assured that this matter will be investigated fully.

If you can help us with this, then please email press@mtfc.co.uk in the strictest confidence."

Why isn't it sign posted on the t-junction where the gym is that the gate is locked, home fans this way, away fans that way?

I thought I heard that some Macc lads were ‘moving’ some barriers about at back of west stand before yesterday’s game. Perhaps that’s why they weren’t allowed in to the game.
Those accustomed to privilege may feel that equality is oppression.

If it was the same ones trying to instigate trouble behind the west stand before kick off then good. They are not welcome at football anywhere and definitely not at our ground.

Happy for anyone associated with the club to PM for details of their fans behaviour although I’ve heard there’s already a video going round somewhere but I’ve not seen it.

They were a pretty sorry bunch, stood at the back of the North Stand giving their cheery Nescafé waves....never these people's fault is it?
Never seen the remotest threat from my visits there. The Cat and Fiddle on a wet evening was always the scariest part about going there.

Actually the scariest thing ever seen at Macc was Ronnie jumping about with no shirt on, in the snow. :yahoo:

I remember there being a punch up with some of the local divs off that grotty estate next to the ground about 15 years ago.

They weren't even Macc Town fans, just local scotes who thought they lived on the Chatsworth.
Facts do not cease to exist because they are ignored.
