Quality.

Very happy with that. We were linked with him in August I recall.

Loan. Only downside really. If we get promoted or not, it's a total squad rebuild required in the summer with so many players on loan.

Had a lot of clubs, but has roughly a 1 in 3 scoring rate. Hasn't played at this level since his debut year, when he scored 13. Should be good for League 2!

You'd think we'd be in a good position to either sign some of the permanently or get another loan out of them.

Brilliant signing for this level. All these half chances we miss will now have more of a chance of being put away.
Well done all involved.

Can see us being able to sign some of them permanently as a league one club... id be more worried about just missing out because if you don't go up you won't be able to loan them again.

Paul Cox was offered Nicky Ajose on loan from Peterborough in 2013-2014 but we could not afford him as he was on £4,000 per week. He went to League 1 Swindon instead before joining Leeds United on a 3 year contract. He was signed by David Hockaday. In the end we signed....Ollie Palmer. We could see them both on the pitch tomorrow night. It's a small world!

Nicky Ajose clearly had a great season at Swindon in 2015-2016. Has not played a lot in the last two seasons.

Nicky Ajose - League Starts
2013-2014 Swindon Town (Loan) 12(4) 6 Goals
2014-2015 Leeds United 2(1) 0 Goals
2014-2015 Crewe Alexandra 23(4) 8 Goals
2015-2016 Swindon Town 38(0) 24 Goals
2016-2017 Charlton Athletic 17(4) 6 Goals
2016-2017 Swindon Town (Loan) 15(0) 5 Goals
2017-2018 Charlton Athletic 7(5) 1 Goal
2017-2018 Bury (Loan) 8(1) 1 Goal
2018-2019 Charlton Athletic 6(3) 1 Goal

Exciting stuff!!

He's on the last 6 months of his contract at Charlton so he's playing for a deal somewhere - which is good news for us.

I'd be very surprised if it's not Elsnik. I can't see any of the other loanee's going back, unless Forest have recalled Walker and giving us Grant instead.
