Daring to question Danny Rose

Postby MobileStag » Sat Dec 29, 2018 9:14 pm

Whilst I wasn't one that necessarily wanted to see the back of Danny when he had his head turned by the fat Scottish turd, I do often wonder why there is such a love in with him.

I recognise he scored a few at the beginning of last season, but in 2018 he has 8 goals, and 4 since February (all this season). If I were Tyler Walker, CJ etc playing up front and heard the fans all cheering Danny's name despite not being on the pitch I'd feel a little hard done by as he doesn't seem to suggest with his play that he's likely to change a game at the moment...

Walker and Hamilton have looked good of late but still feel we are missing that ultra clinical striker to finish the (tons of) chances we are creating- in my opinion Danny doesn't seem to be that man (this season at least).

Just wanted to see what everyone else thinks- am not slating Danny at all, I was 7 years old when we were at the Milennium stadium so bar 2011 this is the best football I can remember ever seeing us play- perhaps I'm just being greedy in expecting more of Rose but if Walker were to head back to Forest or L1 I'd be worrying

I think that it's just a habitual chant and doesn't mean much.

It was one of the few chants which was taken up by both stands at the same which just seemed odd. Considering his current and long term form, it just seems strange the level of adulation he gets when he is currently adding so little to the team. It might just be how easy the song is!

I suspect that we will not be getting anyone coming in for him offering anything worth taking so he is here for the duration.

He always gets cheered when warming up, with the Danny, Danny rose song.

He's certainly not the same player as he was last year, through either lack of form or lack of playing time.

Seemed to be one of those players you need to play week in week out to get the best of him in fairness.

Haha. All the fanbois out in force this evening.

You idiots. Like Take That fans. The man is a disgrace. He is as bad as Evans and you morons cheer him like he’s a hero. Get a grip. The man dumped all over you and you lap it up.

Judas.

Our fans would still cheer him if he smashed a granny in the centre circle for some reason.

In hindsight if we knew of the performances he was going to throw up over the first half of the season id of sold when we had the chance to make a few bob.

We have a better chance of promotion if DR rediscovers his form of 2017. Likewise we have a better chance of promotion if we get behind Conrad Logan & don't act to undermine his confidence.

There's a massive 4 months coming up and ALL our players need our backing.

The Danny Rose chant is getting so boring now, he's offering nothing at the moment but gets this special treatment. His contribution isn't going to get us promoted, I can't remember the last time he got anywhere a goal scoring position.

I don't understand the adulation he gets, but he did almost score the winner when his looping header was cleared off the line.

At the moment he is the only striker who can consistently win balls in the air, especially from Logan's goal kicks. This type of ball is used less when Bobby is in goal.

For that reason he needs to be kept.

Exactly
Its not a case of fans blindly shouting Danny's name regardless. Its a case of them offering support and encouragement to a Mansfield Town player who could potntially win us a game.
I for one much prefer this kind of backing to the constant carping and criticism metered out by other sections of the crowd.

For whatever reason Rose isn't firing on all cylinders at the moment, although he did put himself about against Swindon.
He knows what he said and did and has apologised, we all make mistakes but there is no call for comments such as Bellwhiff's who sounded like he had been on the pop.

No because I’m not one of the Rose lovers. You understand the context now ?

I was talking about the Rose fanbois. I think I may have mentioned that in the first sentence

Haha. So priceless. This support is like the stuff I’ve been reading about Logan ? Don’t make me vomit. Rose insulted the club and the fans. He only apologised because he knew the transfer window was closed and he had nowhere to go. His actions proved he does not give a toss for this club. You’re all like battered housewives who go back for more. He’s laughing at you.

That’s rich coming from you

There is every call for my comments. Rose has destroyed the trust of any sensible fan. He’s not interested in the club. He’s interested in himself

Where is your concept of loyalty ?
