Good point. Gutted to concede though but was probably coming at times second half. If we got that second goal we deserved in the first half I think we could have won that pretty comfortably but they inevitably ended up coming back in to it at 1-0. Reuben Reid changed the game for them.
Grant was on another level in the first half, and then missed a sitter to win it!

Back this point up with a win Saturday and happy days!

We were so unlucky not to be 3 up in the first half, with 2 chances that hit the woodwork, but FGR are a good team, thoroughly deserved to share the spoils.Reuben Reid must score against us every time he plays.

Three points would have been nice, but when you look at the match stats they were on top. We had only one shot on target. A point is a decent return.

Stats are rubbish, he’s on about hitting the post and penalty in the first half, probably should have got a second goal. A FGR fans thought they might be getting a bit of a pasting at half time.

A point is a good result though and I’m sure everyone was happy with that beforehand.

It's a shame that we couldn't hold out for the 3 points, but looking at the stats, a draw was probably a fair - and still a good result.
We just need to keep winning at home and drawing away (with the occasional away win) to secure a top 3 place.

Would have taken a draw at the start so can't grumble. Was far more important that we didn't lose tonight.

Including our game back end of feb FGR's fixtures for March are horrendous.

After this weekend Carlisle also enter a tricky run of fixtures.

Hopefully both start to drop some points.

Could have been 3 up, maybe 4 with Grants effort just before his goal. This side are an absolute pleasure to watch play football. 2nd half we were inevitably going to come under pressure, I thought we handled it well and Reid's header was the only time the defence wasn't completely switched on.

CJ looked lost tonight though. We need to find his place in the side, he was ineffective for the majority, he managed to beat his man once and played a nice cross in for Grant to get hold of.

Just on the way home now, an enjoyable evening and the weather thankfully held off.

Just got back. Very weird game, a point was good but we was hanging on second half.

First half we could of easily been 3-0 up. I thought FGR dominated possesion first half but did little with it, we soaked it up and got a well worked goal. Walker and Ajose hitting the post and crossbar, the game could of been done and dusted.

Second half FGR stepped it up and were simply the better side, stags were second to everything and offered little up top. Yes second half we had the odd chance but it was all FGR.

Stags were hanging on at the end and FGR missed some great chances.

First half stags could easily of been 3-0 up and second half stags could easily of lost 3/4-1.

According to FGR fans forum Montgomery suffered a badly cut lip (stitches job) and lost some teeth, OUCH!
Best wishes to the lad. FGR fans think we're a decent outfit and most happy as Larry with a point.
