DE STAG wrote:I have friends who come to the occasional Stags home game and they can't buy tickets for the seats next to me, because they don't make Block F IGL available for sale on Stags tickets. On match day the seats are usually empty, so they simply move seats. It's a bizarre situation, and makes these occasional supporters think twice about attending. There are already ST holders like myself in this block, so stewarding costs don't come into the equation.

They don't think about it at all.

Whereas I understrand why they might keep some blocks empty closest to the away fans for whatever reason - all of the remaining blocks should be fully available to buy from to encourage sales and ease for fans. Our restrictive approach hinders the club frequently.

Assuming each unavailable block seats 350, and each family block 300. Equates to 2,350.

Available tickets - 1,027.

Assuming notts county sell out and capacity available is 9,250 that would suggest an attendance currently in the region of 5,900.

(9,250 - 2,350 - 1,027) = 5,873.

Rough calculations as it stands.

Caveat being any tickets sold in unavailable blocks / family block will increase the attendance offset by unsold county tickets in the away end.

I think 10% of tickets have to be held back if the club intends to sell tickets on match day.

Really you are wasting your time with that sort of calculation. If you want to know how many tickets sold, ask Lynn in the ticket office.

Stags 2002 wrote:In fairness Martin it does give an indicator but far from an accurate one given its floors that even prevent the ticket office accessing available tickets that have been locked.

I have noticed County have recently changed ticketing systems to ticketmaster which holds the tickets for 30 minutes plus booking fees.

Has anyone spoken to the club about doing away with the god awful over night system refresh to free up tickets? As opposed to a 30 minute time limit for example? Medoc who power the site claim to have 6 premier league clubs on their books and i doubt they'll have the same issues.

Surely this would be a minor upgrade and fixing this would likely aid ticket sales for games specifically like this. On the current system sell outs are almost impossible to achieve given the volume of locked seats that will no doubt magically appear again in the morning.

When I ordered my tickets online it gave me 15 minutes from picking them to actually paying for them or they would be put back on open sale. Honestly thought the system was painless and worked very well. Printed em off at home too.
Ticket sales look healthy, should be a good crowd as plenty of people buy on the day as well. How's County sales going, anyone know?

Someone estimated 6,500 less say 1,700 from Notts, so 4,800 stags fans. Lincoln home fans last weekend 8,100

So people think we will only get a extra 800 home fans against County? It's going to be at the very bottom end 5,000 home but fans but im sure more will turn up.

Yes really. Am I expecting too much? Surely we can get at least 5000 home fans for this one considering where we are in the league and how entertaining our matches have been this season

We will only get 5000 home fans if 1000 county fans turn up in home end ;)

Last season there was 5400 home fans turn up after we had just lost the previous match.

I’m expecting the attendance to closer match the attendance we had against chesterfield which was 7500 inc Away fans.

Well apart from bury in that cup thing which isn’t a competitive game in the first place we’ve not had a proper home game in 3 weeks.

Given we’re on a good run and not lost recently, it would be a serious concern if there’s less than 7000 there, radford will be wondering what else he can do.

Sort of homophones. One Call= Wonk Hall. Some people started using the second term when the sponsorship of the stadium was first announced and have shortened it to just Wonk.
Personally I still refer to the ground as Field Mill, but do acknowledge that the sponsorship has helped us get to the financial position we are now in while still abiding by financial fair play rules.

Yeah i kind of like that. Wonk Hall. Gives the place an air of eccentric poshness.

I'm like you Halifaxstag. I always use the 'traditional' names for grounds regardless of sponsorship unless that ground is a mundane new build with no history that can change it's name at the whim of anyone with a few quid. Like the B2Ne.......sorry, Proact. ;)

Accrington will always be the Crown Ground to me and not the WHAM Stadium and Field Mill will always be Field Mill.

I might have dreamed it but i'm sure it stemmed from Doomy's mum who thought the ground was called the Wonk Hall which is where it all started from. Please correct me if I'm wrong Doomy.
