Stags 2-1 Mariners MATCH REPORT

Another impressive display - very effective tactical change at half-time and a deserved three points.

Have a read of my match report here

...smothered at the feet of Melies...

...when Melies cut inside...

Who?

...when Timmi Elsnik shot...

Timi.

I wasn’t at the game so somebody else can comment on whether it was 442 or 424 in the second half, and who assisted the Stags’ first goal.

A few typos in there, such as
Michael Jolley is still in the early throws of his reign
, and the cringe-inducing "Melies",
but the summary seems fair.

If the second half formation was the same as at Crewe then it was 4-3-3 (according to the Mansfield manager, who should know!). Although I always think that formations are pretty fluid, so it's an academic point. Mellis provided the assist for the first Stags goal.

I noticed the other typos, didn’t want to be accused of being too pedantic though
