Are Stags' critics starting to believe?

Postby Chadman » Wed Oct 31, 2018 4:44 pm

After last night's sparkling record-breaking win and an examination of the current cold, hard facts, are even Stags' fiercest critics starting to believe there may be something in the air?

Football can be cruel and we all know there is a long, long way to go. But as fans of a club that rarely produces success down the year, every Stags supporter can currently afford to savour the moment.

“If the club’s biggest critics can only complain about the taste of their half-time pie or their favourite player being left out by the Grimsby visit - and they will do

We’re still playing catch up on the league but we’re now turning a few of the draws into wins which is encouraging. Hopefully it will continue.

I think two wins in the next two games and people might start to believe.
You've got to go there and come back, to know where you've been.

If we can beat Cheltenham it would set up the Grimsby game perfectly off the back of successive wins and knowing it could really move us up the table.

Got an opportunity here to get right back amongst it, hope the lads kick on on Saturday.

In recent weeks the management have aproached games, particularly in the last half hour, in a much more positive way staying on the front foot rather than sitting back.

That has produced a more positive vibe off the pitch (& better results) No one was asking for the moon on a stick, just stop doing things that we aren't good at.
Facts do not cease to exist because they are ignored.

The Crewe match did have the feeling of a turning point. Whether that's just an illusion, we'll see on Saturday. It's a test of character, to see if they feel they've proved a point and can rest on the laurels, or kick on.

Near on a 3rd of the way through the season and lost once. That's the biggest sign that we've always been going the right way.

Turn the draws into wins and we'll be home and dry by early April, simples!

Most of the bookies have got us clear 3rd favourites behind Lincoln and MK Dons.
