Agree, Mellis was on it again tonight. He's certainly upped his game recently. Long may it continue.

My MOM and was outstanding.

Having said that I can understand why DF likes to play 3 in the middle as even Grimsby caused us some problems second half when we switched to a 2, it was very open and better sides would have caused us more problems

Ban was hanging over his head early part of the season, he's served it and clearly knew he needed to prove a point to remain within the managers thoughts.

He's playing fantastic and long may it continue.

Mellis was unreal tonight, my man of the match by far. I don't argue with giving it to Walker who has won us the game with two goals though but I thought Mellis was superb and deserves it too.

Jacob Mellis was my Man of the Match again tonight for the third time in four games. He was also our best midfield player at Cheltenham although I chose Krystian Pearce as my MOM for that game.

He was superb Tyler got the goals but Mellis won us the game obviously given a kick up the backside at half time and what a response not seen a better half from him than that long may it continue.

He seems to be slightly fitter this season, or maybe just fresher a a result of his ban. He could barely complete 90 minutes last season but was bursting past player at will last night.

Mellis had another good game last night but can't imagine the better teams in League 2 giving him the time and space Grimsby did.

Bishop does much of the donkey work which allows Mellis to play, all round a good midfield performance.

I know opinions are like backsides and everyone has one, but first half I thought Mellis was lacking a yard or two of pace and was not in the game. Second half he came to the show. Trying to figure out what changed. Well I think it was the formation in having an outlet to pass to with Hamilton wide left and White wide right giving Mellis more time to pass and create. I doubt Jacob would have shined if the formation had stopped the same.

Agree with many, a great second half display from Mellis (along with a couple of others). Is it a coincidence that Walker’s upturn in form has matched Jacob’s? Class shown from both yesterday.

I don't think formation had anything to do with it think he was told to step up and he did exactly that.

I was more impressed with the pass to Davis. Had Davis been a little more match fit and sharp that would have been a certain goal

I'm sure Craig and I will enjoy having our thirst slaked at your expense ( mine's a pint of Stella by the way, not sure what Craig drinks) when a playoff berth or better is confirmed.

The One won't be able to get his pint though as he's fallen on the Flitcroft Out side of the fence

Good luck getting a pint out of that tight Yorkshire git, he has owed me on for five years after he lost a bet.
