Will be going due to hoping that one day I will experience the same elation as I felt as a 14 yr old when George Foster scored the equaliser against Wigan many, many years ago.

So, two nil to the Stags, played in a near empty ground with no atmosphere and against players that look down their noses at league two.

Careful what you wish for Mr. Premier League as you might kill the dreams of a generation of 14 yr old real football fans.
I have never celebrated a goal like that one either before or since. Not even winners over Chesterfield. I doubt I could match that elation even if we scored the winning goal in the cup final. Oh to be 17 again.

I can still remember the moment as if it was last week. He should have been given the freedom of the town and as life long supply of Mansfield ale for that goal.

COYS let’s do it again.

Interesting starting eleven but still not a poor one. Plenty on thebench to come on and rescue if necessary. Home win and a chance for the young forwards to stake a claim for a place on Saturday week.

I'm with you on that one mate . Although the final outcome went againstus , that goal will always live with me . I can see it now and the reaction it caused . My favourite goal ever . From one of our greatest ever defenders .

It's a shame Pearce is playing, this competition would be ideal to expose Gibbens to senior football.

I know. Try the league for clucks sake.
You've got to go there and come back, to know where you've been.
