Every side that gets promoted has a ‘certain something’ that sets them apart from the chasing pack and gets them over the line, whether it is momentum, a seige mentality, an amazing player or two, shape and discipline or a great manager.

Last season, I never thought we had this despite all the rhetoric and shouting of the previous encumbent of the dug Out.

This year I think we have the certain something, we can play football of a quality and speed that others cannot live with. This is what sets us apart. The consistency will come and hopefully in May we will be celebrating in Town.

Unfortunately No but with the addition of a decent proven goalscorer, we will make Play offs

Yes I think we will. We have the squad and the tactics, we just need the strikers to do their job.

Get a proper striker in Jan and we'll be there.

All those of you who think yes, put a bet on it while we're 16th. You'll get good odds.

I think we're short up top and have a fragile defensive mentality. Top 10 but short of play offs.
You've got to go there and come back, to know where you've been.

we make excuses for the manager every week because it's pleasing on the eye to watch, negative tactics will keep us mid table.

Yes we can make the top three. Strikers need to step up and he needs to get someone in in January to help.

Seems a bit far fetched to be talking about top 3 at the moment when we haven’t managed to win 2 games on the spin since February.

Top 7 seems a more realistic target, but the next 3/4 weeks will tell us a lot about where our season is heading.

Yeah I think we can

We do need to start picking up points and have drawn too many from winning positions.

However with the exception of Lincoln who I think will finish top 3 I don’t think there is another 2 teams who you could say will confidently finish in the automatic promotion places.

The league looks quite poor this season in my opinion

Looking at the table now with us not playing we are now 9 points behind 3rd and even 6 points behind 7th. And yes I know we have 2 games in hand, but we have to win those 2 games just to get to the play off positions. So it means having to win 2 or 3 on the bounce. And someone mentioned we have not won 2 successive games while DF has been manager. So unless we can manage to turn these draws into wins I think it is highly unlikely.

We need a good run of form now to keep close enough to the playoffs for our games in hand to get us back up there. Fail to win any of next 2 (haven’t won’t away yet this season)and we could be 10 points off 7th by the next time we play at home. Games in hand mean nothing if you can’t string a winning run together. We play some nice stuff, but the results have to start coming now, here’s hoping Swindon is the start of it.

He’s already signed two strikers over the summer, why does everyone think he’s going to sign a top quality striker in the hardest transfer window?
