:) We always seem to struggle against the Latics and we need to do what we did against Accrington.
Its about the NOW for this team to push on and climb the league .

The hoodoo of ‘after the Lord Mayors Show’ will be firmly kicked into touch against Oldham.

A two nil win, hard fought and a bit nervy. Goals from Rose and Walker.

1-0 Rose. Much tougher challenge that provided by the Cobblers.

I reckon it's gonna be tough. Tougher than Saturday that's for sure.

Oldham haven't lost away from home since march.
You've got to go there and come back, to know where you've been.

Won't be easy for sure, but if we're going to actually start putting stuff together now is the time to do it - maybe show some promotion credentials for once.

A point after Saturday wouldn't be the end of the world providing we got a win at Bury

The run has to end at some point, much like when Exeter beat us.

After Saturday they must be itching to get on the pitch again so lets get behind the lads.

Additionally as so many ex.stags seem to score against us lets hope with the shoe on the other foot Davies scores for us tomorrow.

Oldham will come for a point, with the hope of nicking
one and then parking the bus and taking all 3

Oldham Athletic will be much tougher opposition tonight and are another bogey side for the Stags. Our last home league win against them was in Feb 1972 when Frank Wignall and John Fairbrother gave us a 2-1 win. I can still remember Steve Taylor scoring the goals for them when they beat us 2-0 in Division 2 (The Championship) in 1977 at a foggy Field Mill. We later signed him from Oldham in 1979 for a record fee of £75,000. I can also remember Oldham playing in orange shirts and blue shorts. This might have been the 1971 match.

We have only played Oldham twice in the league since 1972 so the record is not as bad as it looks. 3 points tonight would be a great boost for everybody at Field Mill. COYS!!

An Oldham game in my younger days was an early season Monday night game.

Both sides were near the top of the table and the winner would go top as others were playing Tuesday or Wednesday.

We lost 4-2 and never did get to top spot that season.

I'm wondering whether to have a bet on tonight? 3 games this season I forgot to put any bet on and we won Newport, Carlisle and Northampton. When I went for just accumulators we drew. When I had a bet on the actual game we played Exeter.

I'm thinking 3-1 tonight with Khan scoring first.

3-1 and Khan to score for at 75/1. I've took it so a loss tonight and it's my fault, not Flitcroft's

trying out the live match coverage on iFollow this evening - the stream already frozen more than flowing which doesn't bode well - whilst I live in Berkshire internet connection is appalling - out in the country with old telephone lines - so not unexpected but thought I'd give it a go
