I got there at 6.45pm and it was chuffing bone dry, not a spot of rain for the entire evening, couldn't believe it especially leaving Mansfield it was an absolute deluge.

To be honest it's odd that folk (including me feel nervous)

* Not lost to Notts in ever
* Not lost an early KO in about 12 games
* Not lost to an East Midlands team in ages
* Far better side than Notts
* Far better record this season than Notts
* Poles apart in the league

Get an early goal against them and I reckon they'll fold faster than a deck of cards

We should win this game with ease, but it's one of those games. If I was a Pie I'd crapping my pants at the thought of a week on Sat. My only reservation is the relative shot shyness of our strike force. If ever there was a time for Dan, Tyler etc to get back on the scoring trail then the 8th is the day. County are bereft of any sort of confidence and as Adam says they should fall apart pretty quickly if we get our noses in front. I'd imagine Ardley will play a strong team at Sunderland to see what they've got bottle wise and if that ends up in a pasting then they'll be cacking themselves as they walk out at t'Mill.

If we play as we know we can and have done for a lot of the season the Pies will leave with nothing. If we treat it with overconfidence ala Macc then...
