Ardley says the National League has to find a way for the season to start. Not an option to delay it. Points out that all the leagues above and all the league below are playing, and can't have just the National League not playing.

There’s a National League meeting on Thursday to determine what they do. They’ve said they won’t start the season without fans but they’ve got no choice really. The season has been delayed too long as it is. At this rate it’ll be going on to July!

Brilliant news, the revolution has begun. National League North clubs demanding an equal vote for being a member of the National League.

Now if only this spirit of a ‘new football’ could spread to the EFL and Premier League then we might have a joined up, well run, financially well disciplined pyramid system.

It may be televised after all.

Hi, hope this is ok to post, admins as it may be off topic... Forest will struggle this season. 3 league games, 3 losses, 0 goals. Clough, though.

Out of curiosity, am I the only one cheering Altringham on this evening?

VAR would have chalked it off for offside though.

2-0 to Notts County. Good play from Wes Thomas on the byline, and a good cross for Wootton to head home.

Wootton brought down for a pen, but Wootton's pen is well saved, so no first half hat-trick.

just putting it out there, does anyone think we would beat county if we played them at the moment based on what you have seen tonight?

Not on last night's performance.
Maybe if we took the periods in games where we have played well, and were able to replicate them for longer periods in games, then we should have too much for a National League side. But I wouldn't be confident we could do that right now.

Notts County 3 Altrincham 1

Comfortable win for County. Jimmy and Richie did not get on the pitch. County's owners have clearly been playing moneyball as County brought on a Belgian and a Portuguese sub with good stats from the Bulgarian league and Dutch 2nd division.

Jake Reeves looks a good signing for them in midfield.

Was that the softest penalty you’ve ever seen given? Great save from the keeper which was justified.

County, whom have stuck with the same manager through relegation and a season in the non-league abyss have more points so far this season than the serial manager changing teams of us and Forest.

There may be something that can be read into that.
