Nearly 30 games played and only on 21 points.... they'll need around 50 to stop up. 10 more wins in 18 games is it? when they've managed to win 4 out of 28... just can't see it, when it gets this bad you're in serious trouble.

Lad who I worked with is a fairly big county fan and says they need a full clear out because there's too many players just not got the right attitude for starters.

Dennis is a mardy raspberry that doesn't like things going his way and gives up.
Hemmings doesn't like not scoring and has seems to hat just being there.
Vaughn is too slow and get knackered quickly. Tries to play the Hollywood pass and looses it.
Keeper looks nervous and weak and not commanding.
Nathan Thomas back to being raspberry
No pace
No leaders
Defence switches off every 5 minutes

Thats his assessment, they seem suited to non league already.
Anyone know what the points total for second bottom has been in last ten years?
Barnet 46 (46)
Hartlepool 46 (48)
Dagenham and Redbridge 34 (43)
Cheltenham 41 (45)
Bristol rovers 50 (50)
Barnet 51 (51)
Hereford 44 (46)
Lincoln 47 (48)
Grimsby 44 (48)
Chester 37 (41)

Survival points in brackets.

If 50 points are needed they have 18 games left. 9 wins and 2 draws required.
That's if Macklesfield Cambridge Yeovil n Port Vale slip up worse than County.....

My prediction is Vale n County to go down

Vale & County would be two massive grounds to be in the Conference.
Facts do not cease to exist because they are ignored.

The average points over the last ten years for 22nd place is 46.6 with a GD of -18.4 and averaging 2.6 points clear of 23rd place. There has been a big range of the points needed for safety from 41- 51. Bizarrely the two clubs with the lowest surviving total were also the safest. Newport in 15/16 were 9 points clear with 43 points and Grimsby in 08/09 were 4 points clear with 41 points. Wycombe - 50 points in 13/14 and Dog and Gun - 51 points in 14/15 only survived on Goal Difference!

So if they were to double their current points tally, with just about half the amount of games that they've currently played left to go, they would have only survived once in the last 10 years.

Their current form is 0.75 points per game so they're currently on for 35 points, they probably need 10-15 points on top of their current form to have a chance, which is around 1 extra point per game. Our average is 1.73 points per game, so they need to replicate our form so far this season to have a chance of staying up.

Notts Country have been trying to loan Jorge Grant from Nottingham Forest. NF have declined saying he is going to a League 1 club. Source Nottingham Post.

This may have been posted on another thread, apologies if it has.

Yep. MTFC has no claims to superiority where the respective grounds are concerned.

Yes, to reach 50 points they need play-off form for their remaining 18 games

Going to Grimsby apparently. I thought he was ok for them tbh. There’s 25 worse players they could’ve got rid of first but I suppose when you need to get rid of 38 players you’ve got to start somewhere.

Egghead is back on twitter claiming he's pumpef £9m into Notts and wanting sympathy. Don't think he'll get any from Fletch...

Ground size much like history counts for nothing and gives you no points or other advantages

Any on here who would take Stead coming to the One Call ? I know he has come under some stick but he holds the ball up well and knows where the onion bag is !

God no. He's way past it. Anyone who regularly watches that young County fan's vlogs will know that their fans know that too.

Their next 2 home games are Lincoln and ourselves.

It's interesting that Lincoln are taking 4,000 to Notts also, but that KO's at 3.

Been following this site a while now. 1st match 1975, stags 1 Workington nil....used to go loads but have to pick and choose now.....never miss the derbies though, so will be disappointed if Notts go the same way as Chesterfield.
But back to the thread.....I work with a bloke 50 yrs a season ticket holder at Notts...he reckons it’s the worst county side he has ever seen....I actually went Saturday......couldn’t resist the 2 pound comedy show...fans booing them off...even though they played loads better than at the Mill earlier this season...and the obligatory pensioners shouting at each other after the game.....handbags a t noon.....loved it.......and to top it all off The Cambridge fans were shouting Yellows.

Yep, even he reckons they are gone..

Oh, and Stead is past it, slow and tires easy....good at holding the ball and passing to strikers...but county are in the same boat as us in that respect...short of a finisher. :coys:
