It’s funny how things turn out, isn’t it?

Edders, is it the warm glow of smugness keeping out the winters’ chill this morning? Though is does prove, conclusively, the fickleness of Stagsnet. And long may it continue.

Is that what it is? I thought my bag had sprung a leak! :o

Probs a long shot but I’m looking for 3 tickets if anyone has them for sale.

We tried ringing over 100 times on Tuesday to no success.

Even Forest must have started feeling sorry for Hardy

I’d rather not bother than sit with the bedwetters personally.

That’s a good signing for them to be fair.

Coventry must have had a change of heart as they had said Doyle was still very much part of their plans.

4 hours

Wasn't it Doyle that got Mcnulty to join Coventry over us last season?

They will be able to give us a game now, prior to their signings it would have been a massacre

Michael Doyle could be the signing that saves them. 21 starts for Cov this season.

That does beg the question why Cov are letting him go & why he couldn't get fixed up with a better club?

Doyle is a good signing . They need the likes of him in the team . I thought he was being lined up as a coach for Coventry ? They look on paper to have strengthened but thats supposedly what they did at the start of the season . One man don't make a team .

Hardy has promised Doyle extra money because he's agreed to be the centrefold in the next matchday programme.

As at the start of the season, Notts seem to have made some good signings, but apart from Doyle, the others don't seem to have been prolific in the League recently. It does seem to be a serous throw of the dice to try and stay up.

The 2 new strikers in Gomis and CMS are "play to feet" forwards, very similar to Hemmings and Dennis, and yet they have been playing high balls forward to them, so where's the difference?

The fundamental change they need to make is tactically, and unless the defenders and midfield change their current tactics and have confidence in possession, then it could easily be the same story with different personnel.

County fans seem to think they have signed enough quality to stay up... and their about to turn over Lincoln, FGR and ourselves.

I guess we shall see...

These players wont have come cheap..fair play to Hardy he could have turned off the cash taps but is having another throw of the dice to stop them going down.

Much will depend on the mood inside the club, imo, as many a touted player seemed to fall from grace after only a few games. If Hardy selling-up has uplifted the mood then it'll be a tough game, but if it's left uncertainty over players futures or he's still as subtle as a rhino charging a Land Rover, then no amount of fresh faces will stop the rot.

If they haven't sorted things out internally then these 'dogs Balearics' players will be missing a dog!! :P

Remember when Evans signed loads of players, and before him when we had Reg signing 3 a week?
It seemed to take a good 10 games or so for them all to gel and look anywhere near to being a team....in Reg's case we never gelled because there was always someone new coming in.

All their new players need to hit the ground running, and I just can't see them getting out of it.

Yeah. They'll improve, but they won't escape.
You've got to go there and come back, to know where you've been.
