I always wear my Stags poppy half & half badge on my coat. I was coming out of Meadow Lane tonight & a Notts fan said “You’ve got some raspberry on your jacket”. I said “That’s Football League raspberry to you” & walked off

We also don't lie about the number of season ticket holders attending the game.

That’s not correct, their average of 4504 last season was less than our 4897.

Also they report tickets sold even if they dont bother attending the game where as we report the actual attendance on the day.

Same again tonight, Charlie giving us their history, interviews with fans, manager. Clips of the goals.

Dual standards from local media yet again.

If they replace him with a good old fashioned non league type centre forward then it could be a good move for them.

I wonder who the computer will pick (I have visions of the management team huddled around metal mickey waiting for a printout to appear)

And the flip side to that is the size of the crowd. 14 games in two months is a very expensive run of fixtures if you don't have a season ticket (ignoring the fact some are away from home) especially if the side isn't getting a fair few victories.

How long until the casual fans start to question the validity of turning out when the weather is turning as well? If they can't get into the top third of the table fairly quickly, they will start to lose fans at a great rate of knots (or Notts if you like puns).

The battle to keep fans is probably the hardest test this year.

Thought Hemings was decent for us. Too good for County and non-league.
