The U18's play their first match today.....
Can this thread be made into a 'Sticky' so we can get team news and updates for all their games throughout the season please.
If anyone goes to the games they can post the updates in her (Hopefully)
GOOD LUCK LAD !!!

I went to see the U18s play Pinxton at the Van Elle Welfare Arena on 1st August. Pinxton finished 4th in Central Midlands League South last season but beat Collingham 4-3 to win the League Cup final. They have some experienced non-league forwards including Kieran Debrouwer, Jay Cooper and Nathan Benger. The young Stags took a two goal lead with goals from Tyrese Sinclair (son of Frank Sinclair) and Kamen Cashmore. Rhys Sarson (No 9) looked a big unit up front. The Pinxton side included former young Stags Kieran Coupe and Jack Hawkins. Kieran Debrouwer pulled a goal back for Pinxton just before half time after a defensive mix up. Debrouwer then scored an excellent equalizer before substitute, Scott Graham, arrived late at the back post to score the winner for Pinxton.

Look forward to seeing the young lads when they play a little closer to home.

Hence why I thought it would be a good idea to have this at the top of the MB so fans knew where to look for information......
Can't see why we cant do this and also have one for the U23's etc etc too

Personally, I hope young Kieron Darby can kick on and progress this year.

I have already mailed Mark Stevenson about this. I don’t know if it is just through lack of information being fed into our media team but it can’t be that hard if I can find it out for myself. Tyler Blake, Louis Danquah, Kieran Harrison, AJ George have all left after there first pro deals expired and were not renewed. But again would be nice if this kind of information would be confirmed by official source. There are some detailed updates in match programmes but never really seems to be shared on the website.

I’m surprised about Tyler Blake. Thought he scored quite a few in senior football while on loan.

I thought the same but I think with Jordan Graham coming in from Oxford it halted his opportunities for his age group? Both are of the similar style of striker. There's also from the same age group in the U21s Hakeem but he is a different type of striker so probs why he's still here. They all have potential but this year is a big one for Hakeem I think to either make the grade or not with Iyrwah Gooden being promoted up from last years U18s.

Was there rumours of Prem clubs watching Gooden ?

I think that was confirmed when we rushed to sign him on a first year pro deal. He still qualified for the U18s I think but has been pushed on a level up to U21s

He should score for fun at that level if he keeps his head down and should start his way back up the ladder
