No brainer. Natural goalscorers are rarer than hens teeth.
He will flourish with a full pre season.
Get him in DF

Cunno did seem to know Preston was ‘inbound’ yesterday before anyone else.

Posh chairman (if you trust him) said Miller isn't going to Mansfield.

Flitcroft has spoken several times about squad cohesion and getting rid of divisions. I can't imagine he'll want a potentially divisive player such as Miller, no matter how good he may or may not be. We don't need him to go up anyway. 4 teams got promoted last season without Ricky Miller.

It's quite astounding the number of people clamouring for Miller on the back of a good 45 minutes.

This would be great news.

Ive spoken to him twice. He's a little rough round the edges but i liked him. Dont know why he wpuld be a divisive player. He seemed a pretty likable with some banter.

Hope he comes. The optimism gauge will be up from 5 to about 8 out of 11 if he signs on.

It’s not just a good 45 mins though is it! Record scorer ever in conf only 2 year ago...was seen as good enough for L1 where it coincided with off field problems....anyone with an ounce of football knowledge or has ever played can see he is miles better than what we have or could hope to sign

Time will tell...wouldn’t bet against him being top L2 scorer for Vale (if he keeps on the straight and narrow)

And there in lies the rub. Do you pay money for a 29 year old, with 1 league goal to his name, who come September 1st could implode, do something stupid and get sent down?

This leaves you without any chance of replacing him for 4 months, nearly half a season. If Flitcroft thinks it's not worth the risk I'll back his judgement. If Miller goes on to score 20 or more for whoever next year, I'll still back that decision, for if Flitcroft decides Miller is not for him then that's it. You can't get the best out of a player if the manager doesn't believe in him.

Unfortunately though, scoring is as much about attitude as it is ability.

If the reports were true, then he's more likely break morale rather than any records, unless it's record for quickest dismissal from a new club :P

We shall have to see - potential bullet dogged or potential bullet-shot striker missed out on. Lets see where he signs first though

You’re speculating rather aren’t you ?
How do you know he’s divisive ?

I think fans liked him because he sat with the fans on a number of occasions and seemed to have that never say die attitude but he is unproven at league level apart from one goal he scored for us. Let’s hope he does not have his scoring boots on against us next season.
