A lot of importance will be going on signing a central defender, midfielder and striker but out wide on the wing is something we desperately need to get right.

Be interesting what role Macca plays next season.

I doubt that he means Wolves, Cardiff, Wigan or Blackburn; so I'm thinking that he's interested in someone at either Accy, Looun or Wycombe. Has anyone been made available for transfer at those clubs?

Could equally be Macclesfield though ;)

Transfer Window

Postby Amber Andy » Tue May 15, 2018 7:35 am

The transfer window is now open. A trickling of signings gone through.

Harry Pell has signed for Colchester. Would have liked to have seen him sign for us.

Nicky Adams has left Carlisle today, will be a good signing for someone in this league having recovered from his injury. Wouldn't mind us having a look at him

Which two, the one who's retiring, the one you've never heard of, or the other two out of our price range?

Was deemed surplus to requirements by Flitcroft after he won promotion from league 2 with him a couple years back...

Well maybe so, but the Colchester manager thinks he's decent because he's paid a six figure sum for him.

These are the type of players we should be looking at. Relatively young and moving up the leagues. Pell did well at Eastleigh, moved to Cheltenham and has had a good season. Now sees Colchester as a step up.

Far better signing these type of plays, than those who have supposedly done it and now on the way down. His former colleague Eisa is another one we should be looking at, but is probably out of our price range and heading for league1.

If we do a lot of business early like last summer you'll know Radford is backing Flitcroft like Evans last summer I would imagine.

Steve Evans has made his first signing, no doubt one of many. Goalkeeper Aaron Chapman from Accy.

I think Aaron is a local lad originally. Kirkby in Ashfield I think. Met him once or twice at the local gym. Said he started late in football. He's done really well.

John Coleman will be well disappointed.Free transfer too.

Nicky Adams is leaving Carlisle. Think he played under Flitcroft at Bury. Getting on a bit and had a long term injury. Before that was a pretty good L2 player.
