SSA Travel to Chesterfield

Postby Chacawab » Sun Apr 08, 2018 8:52 am

Are the SSA putting on their supporters coaches for the masses on Saturday? I don't recall seeing/hearing any announcements.

Thanks

Hi if you contact the SSA on 07967 689597 there are seats on the bus available

Cost id £10 per person and they leave Field Mill at 11.15am.

Why not come down to the Sandy Pate Bar for breakfast and a drink before?

Get on the old 141 now called the Spira.

Sit back and enjoy as you coast through Carsic, Stant Nil & Teversal.

Relax as you meander up the scenic Wild Hill through Historic Tibshelf "home of Britains First Inland Oil Well"

Enjoy the executive travel experience as you coarse through Holmewood, North Wingfield, before marveling at Hasland & Grassmoor as the Crooked Spire comes into view.

Nahh just get a taxi.

Does anyone know of any other buses going, preferably from a pub, with spare seats?
I know Westfield buses and one from Ling Forest are full.

Id avoid all buses (and I am booked on one). Turns out the plod want all coaches to leave around 11.15am to wait at Doe Lea for 45mins so we can all be ushered in together. OK in principle but why not let us leave at 11.45 so we don't have to sit there, whilst everyone gets pissed off that we are confined to a non moving bus.

plod are a joke at time and cause more hassle.

I suspect a lot of fans are going on buses because its safer and you're ushered straight in and out. We normally drive to away games, but always get the bus for this one.

I don't mind leaving at 11.15, or being held for a bit before we get there. So long as we are there plenty of time before KO then no problem. Better this and making our own way through / round Chesterfield, not knowing where to park that is safe, having to avoid wearing colours etc.

Still lets not let the Police doing the right thing, keeping people safe, get in the way of another excuse to have a bash at them.
