I like him already. He is honest without being derogatory to the previous incumbent. He knows our short fallings which we all can see aswell.
We have grinded our way through the season so far without playing a decent tune.
Lets hope Big Dave is the one to get that tune in full flow.
These are my opinions , if you don't like them I have others...

He says what we all see. I find that refreshing. The fact that he seems determined to change the attacking mindset is fine by me, good luck to him.

I agree, I also like him and he is very different to his predecessor, which is a very good thing. I hope he does get us over the line in what is left of the season, but I think with a decent budget he will do the job for us next season if all doesn't go to plan.

Yeah i cant see it happening this season after last three games and the next three games. But i did fancy us under Evans.

Sadly i think he'll have to do the business next season.

Yes he knows what needs doing, but can the players do it for him.
Can we play Accrington Stanley every week.

Very refreshing indeed to hear an interview like that. It's been a while since we have had honesty and integrity in a managers press conference. It'll be a lot harder to play bullshįt bingo with him in charge.

Has anybody else noticed that he has referred to several players as 'bringing them back'? It sounds as though Evans has isolated some of them from the group. I suppose that shouldn't be surprising, the Crawley Players book said he did that all the time.

Talk is cheap, I remember many on here lauding the Scottish manager's first interviews, saying the man has such gravitas blah de blah de blah. Flitters can be the most eloquent, articulate manager we've ever had but I care not a jot. Getting results on t'pitch now is all that matters... starting on Saturday.

The one thing I cared about that exuded from Evans was he was a 'winner' that's all I want.

Miller must wait as Angol impresses new Stags boss
chad.co.uk, by JOHN LOMAS

David Flitcroft believes he can mould young striker Lee Angol into something special. And Angol is ahead of Peterborough loanee Ricky Miller in the pecking order at the moment for the new Stags manager. Some fans have been wondering why Miller has not been in the 18 for either game under Flitcroft so far.

But the manager said: “As a coach and a mentor I see in Lee Angol someone I really think I can develop at this club. “He has the size, his physical stats are decent, his running stats are good when he plays, and the kid needs teaching. “So I want to put a lot of time into Lee. We’ve also got Spence (Jimmy Spencer), who is another striker.
