Evans Chad Article.

Postby bellwhiff » Mon Mar 05, 2018 2:52 pm

Has anyone else read this pile of pump ?

He compares the fans to a heartbroken girlfriend when a relationship ends. Who’s he kidding ? He’s being criticised for leaving before the job is complete.

More like someone who finally gets out of an abusive relationship. We're relieved he's gone.

His decision to quit Mansfield Town, though, was met with shock and disappointment from much of the Stags fanbase, something Evans says is understandable.

“Anyone who loses a girlfriend that they deeply love will be upset,” he said.

That cant have been said with a straight face surely....

It's a land-grab for any promotion already, an interview that simultaneously claims it as his whilst undermining Flitcroft if it doesn't happen. He'll have already added it to his 27 others in his conversations.

The problem is, not that he has gone, or his want to be closer to home reason, it's the way it was done before seeing the job through.
Can't help but put as much blame on the Peterborough Chairman and Barry Fry as Evans himself. IMO

Steve Evans appears to be descending into self-parody, “Anyone who loses a girlfriend that they deeply love will be upset”. I know they say that love is blind, but is she deaf too? She'd need to be Helen Keller!

That article is rubbish, it says he took over when we were goal difference away from relegation spots when in fact we were 18th and three points better off than 23rd place after 16 games.
Can we play Accrington Stanley every week.

Guy is full of so much **** it’s alright him getting good players in but he is the one who went behind our back and applied for Posh job. He don’t give a toss about us, proved that when he had digs at fans at every opportunity.

Very true, that interview basically talks as if the move was from Mansfield to Peterborough. He's already forgotten his story...or more likely, doesn't care now.

Steve Evans : “I understand that. But when you look at the situation objectively, I took over a team that was goal difference away from being in the League Two relegation zone."

Stagsnet Match Report for Adam Murray's last game (12/11/16): "Stags have slipped down to 18th in a very tight league table, three points from the play-offs, but three points from the relegation zone."
