Embarrassing for Evans, another player who doesn't want to play for him.

Do you know something we don't? It's presented as Evans's decision.

I understand Lee Frecklington made the final choice of which club to join.

Two were in for him, he chose Lincoln City, despite claims elsewhere #RUFC #Millers

It's not a surprise really . He's been talking about ending his career at Lincoln for a long time . If five or six teams bid for him he probably would of made the same decision . Hes a decent player but as I said the other day , I was concerned abut his injuries . I'm not sure if it was worth the gamble .
At Lincoln he will play every week and probably on to a coaching role . Here I think he wouldn't play as much . Evans rates Byrom highly and he more or less said he needs cover if Byrom is injured .
How the Imps fans are going off , they have signed Lampard in his prime .

Lee Frecklington appears to have already moved back to Lincoln so he always wanted to go back and play for them. He says he has a lot of respect for Steve Evans and enjoyed playing for him but the obvious choice was to move back to Lincoln.

Danny Cowley says we made our move late in the day yesterday and offered more money.

So what Evans said is right then . Sounds like we thought a deal was done , lincoln upped their offer late in the day and Evans and Radford came to the conclusion that we didn't want offer more and ended the deal . He may of still joined Lincoln if our deal was better but it sounds to me that he saw the pound signs .

Watching the interview with Lee Frecklington, he makes it clear that he wanted to go back and play for Lincoln. He had already moved back to Lincoln. He speaks very well and looks like an excellent signing. A good character to have in the dressing room. Interestingly, he says that he does not think there is a big difference between League 1 and League 2.

Danny Cowley also mentions that Rotherham were very good about letting him go as they could have got more money from another club which was probably us.

Again the club and Particular Evans really had No need to play this out to the press , would it not have been easier just to say it was a player the club had looked at . You just get the impression if you had a black cat Evans would have one blacker .

32 year old awarded a 2 1/2 year deal, some risk in the rough and tough of lower league football.
