Peno looked like a massive dive, the way he goes down just makes him look like he falls over and can’t see contact.

How on earth they missed that chance where they hit the post and bar i’ll never know. That’s the luck we haven’t been getting!

I think I would have been upset if we were the attacking side and it wasn't given. Could have gone either way.
Who are you calling pedantic? I resemble that remark!

On the penalty, perhaps it wasn't a dive but clearly Logan doesn't make contact so the ref must have decided that he put the attacker off enough for him to lose his balance and fall over in spectacular fashion. At the time I had a better view than the video camera angle and didn't see Logan trip him then.

So predictable, again

Live I thought it was a pen, Logan did not get the ball and when that happens the resulting penalty is usually unavoidable. The video is pretty inconclusive, be good to see a different angle, the key really is did Logan make contact with the Carlisle player - clearly the Carlisle player made a meal of it, but if there was contact, it was still a pen. Ref probably had the best angle of all of us, he also does not support either team!

That was karma working, he dived for the penalty & missed an open goal. He was a complete arse, & had dived around the penalty area twice before. He was also pretty dirty...

Wrong. This sport is a contact sport. Contact does not mean an automatic foul.

Did Hemmings back heel the winner similar to Angol at Wycombe?

Stick to Rugby

Logan missed the ball, if he then made contact with the player it was a penalty. In fact, in law you don't need to make contact with an opponent for a foul to be awarded. Clearly in this instance the referee thought there was contact and awarded the kick, a fair minded person would be able to see why he gave it, it is therefore no surprise you don't ;)

I thought at the time that Logan touched the Carlisle player. Therefore a definite penalty.Football Belly is a contact sport but not where the goalkeeper is concerned.

Viewing it again on the highlights. it looks like a bad decision by Conrad Logan to come for the ball. He would have been better staying on his line and leaving it to Rhys Bennett to get a block in. Even if Ritchie Bennett had a got a shot in it was from a tight angle.

I think it was a penalty as Logan does seem to jump up with his knee up and hit Bennett. It would have been a free kick if a defender had done the same outside the penalty area.

Carlisle fans said no penalty, they would have had the best view as well.

I know the laws. I was pointing out that your post was balls. Contact doesn’t mean foul. No contact doesn’t mean no foul.

If Logan didn’t make contact, do you think it was a penalty ?

You spent too much time sweating over You Are The Ref in Shoot.
