All to play for now.
Our remaining games have an average difficulty of 1.20
Coventry have Stevenage and Lincoln at home followed by Cheltenham away and Morecambe at home Average 1.11
Lincoln have Wycombe and Colchester at home followed by Coventry and Accrington away with Yeovil at home on last day. Average 1.67. A very tough run in.
Cov v Imps on Tuesday 24th is massive...

Think we can do it!

Then in the playoffs, anything can happen, can definitely see us playing county at some point again this year!

We need Lincoln and or Coventry to slip up. All we can do is win them all if we can.

Assuming the points required to be in the Play-offs (top 7) is 76.

Current Table,
PLD........W........D.......L.......PTS
43..........17........16.....10........67

Required, for 76 points total,
PLD.......W.......D.......L.........PTS
.3...........3........0.......0...........9

Our last 18 games with Steve Evans
PLD.......W.......D.......L.........PTS.......PPG
.18.........11......5........2..........38........2.11
David Flitcroft
..9...........1.......4........4...........7.........0.77

It will be touch and go. I think we will only achieve seven points at most.

I can't see Coventry or Lincoln slipping up like we've done in recent weeks. I might have a ride over to Sincil Bank on Tuesday night. They have sold 9,000 tickets but I might be able to squeeze in with the Chairboy fans in the Stacey West Stand if tickets are on sale on the night. I'll check tomorrow.

Perhaps we have found a bit of form too late. Strictly speaking it is out of our hands. I know we are 7th but with Lincoln having 2 games in hand it's out of our control.

Now if Wycombe were to beat Lincoln on Tuesday and we better or equal Lincoln's result on Saturday we stay in the play offs.

Ideal results are Wycombe to win against Lincoln and then Colchester to bear Lincoln and we beat Port Vale. Those results would make the play-off ours to lose again. We'd be 3 points ahead of Lincoln and their game in hand they would need to win by at least 4 clear goals. Assuming all results mentioned end 1-0*.

*We are equal on goal difference with Lincoln but we've scored more goals so go higher. They would need the 4th goal to get their goal difference higher than ours.

This is all ifs and buts, however it is doable.

If we win our three games then one of these teams need to drop these amount of points for us to sneak into 7 th place

Exeter 9 pts (4 games)
Notts County 6 pts (3 games)
Lincoln 6 pts (5 games)
Coventry 4pts ( 4 games)

Best chance is Lincoln not beating any of Wycombe, Coventry and Accrington or perhaps Coventry not beating both Lincoln at home and Cheltenham away.

So here is hoping a Coventry vs Lincoln draw.
Can we play Accrington Stanley every week.

I’m confident someone will slip up, theyve got to play each other for one which could derail 1 or both of them. We’ve just got to our bit which is easier said than done.

Its all exciting now and Sat was fantastic day in history but sadly and honestly I think that the run left after the 4 defeats and draws is too much of a mountain to climb and Lincoln and Coventry not likely to slip enough and we of course need to win too.

We might have to accept that Saturday was our finest hour and a draw again at home with PV is likely knowing the great Stags one pace forward one pace back routine.

Another comment though, when u look at the support and ferocity of it from Saturday I wonder why and it seems a great shame we can't muster this passion and numbers at a lot more away games.
Imagine that kind of support at say Exeter or Carlisle.

We can only take care of our own results and not confident we will win all 3.

I know we all play the same amount of games and the table doesn't lie but if Lincoln beat us to it they won't have it easy that is some run in they have.

I think if we win all 3 and take 9pts its us if we get 7pts its a toss up any less and its on to next year.

If we win our 3 games we'll be in the play offs, simple as that.

The three remaining games gives us an opportunity.

Do I think we have what it takes to win four games on the bounce? The pattern of the season suggests probably not.

The pattern of the season didn't suggest 9 games without a win including 4 losses on the bounce

Either way we can only look after ourselves, win Saturday and we may have turned that corner.

If we can lose 4 on the bounce then we can win 4 on the bounce.

I agree IF we win our 3 games we'll be in the play-offs :D

However, I'm only about 40% optimistic we'll win our 3 games.

I'd suggest that it's much easier to lose 4 games than it is to win 4 games.

Surely a win or loss is just 33% mathematically? That's how football works isn't it? :P

But it also "only takes a second to score a goal", yet we frequently turn around at half time with nil to our name and there's been a bloomin minimum of three thousand of them!

Agree dude. I was being a bit flippant at the few who think winning is as easy as turning round a losing streak without time or progress ;)
